They officially ran out of content to launch, the last two new events are just pve assets stolen on regular overwatch modes with nothing added, they relased every character show in the blizzcon 2023 where they show nothing interesting because they had no content to show, there is no pve, there is no story, comics, lore, cinematics, content is only paid skins and collabs, will ever be another road map? what they will do when they ran out of pve assets to use? the new mode and new maps are stolen assets from 2cp, they used every theme on the battle pass mentioned on that panel. well they promised a lot of pve missions too which will be a surprise so sure they will launch something right, the 18 months between every mission pack launched will come next year
this is why overwatch classic came back, thats why 6vs6 test will be done, thats why this game have constant balance patches (which are trash) they cant do much, just shake the meta and give a reason to come back, they will keep making ow classic test that last 3 weeks for every patch they have done, what future overwatch have?

They likely have the whole of next year planned with most of the heroes being finalised
They wouldnt be spending so much time and effort committing to a 6v6 test if they had no plans to even keep supporting the game past the next hero
Ow2s future is the same as it has been for the last 2 years. New heroes and maps releasing in every alternating season. Battle pass with skins. Limited events and collabs
Thats what the game is⌠what more are you expecting from it at this point? If you dont like the type and pace of content you are getting it isnt going to change much so just stop playing now
I donât. I stopped caring about buying skins since they never stop making those for either Mercy, Kiriko, or Reinhardt. As long as the mains of these heroes stopped buying those skins, Blizz might reconsider putting actual effort at gameplay and balance.

We used to not have a roadmap like this at all, we usually only got to know about upcoming heroes shortly before they released, not a year in advance.

PvE is dead, that much is clear, but we still got some lore this year with stories.
The mode was not stolen assets and yes, the maps were from older maps, Hanamura was high in demand to be brought back after all.
The same as 90% of other live service games? You really are putting it on a pedestal here. Most live service games only really get balance patches and heroes with an occasional map thrown in.

plain wrong, rewards are needed for live service games to be played, even in ow1 nobody played just for the sake of it, we wanted rewards, we always wanted skins

fortnite does things and grown beyond be a simple game with nothing else to play for, overwatch 2 was going to be that, something more, warzone changes every year, lol is the same but they actually became a succesfull e sport game, and better live services games than ow
because they never said this, they never ever ever told us how pve was going to be delivered and how much, not on ow2 presentation by jeff, not on the trailers, and specially not after they cancelled hero missions and talent trees, we only knew by a rumor that they planed a pack of missions every 18 months, thats so insane, they are so usless, developers are doing nothing right now, why the content of the game struggle so much if they are doing nothing? right now, that they are doing?
