So I’m curious if there is going to be anything done regarding the phone number requirement to be able to play ow2? I understand its in place to handle smurf accounts and thats cool and all. However, what about people who use certain providers like myself where blizzard doesn’t recognize them? With cricket your phone number wont work with Bnet and you won’t be allowed to play OW2 and that kinda sucks. Has anyone else seen any changes for this and maybe im just blind?
Hope that Microsoft takes the game in another direction or buy a Tracfone, I guess.

I’m not sure that would work, but yeah I hope it gets resolved before it launches.
It should, I have my Tracfone registered to my BattleNet Account, so unless something changes between now and October, Tracfones will work.

AFAIK, the Console Versions require a number as well.
Well tracfone is prepaid and no contract just like cricket, so i wonder why they dont accept those numbers? really wish a developer would just even glance at this thread and take a look into it
If they meant to do it and forgot about that one, y’all sure did a good job reminding them to block them too tho.
i mean if they saw this thread i dont think they’d add another set of numbers to not accept. id at least hope they’d find a way around it so all their customers/fans can play their games without having to worry about their cell phone provider.
