Philippine Log-In issues PLEASE HELP! *Lost Connection to Game Server*

I have been playing Overwatch since it launched and I have never experienced anything like this.

Over the past 2 years now I smoothly play Overwatch without any issues. I get a little high ping then and there but its tolerable and minimal at worst. Just last 2 months ago I upgraded our internet speed for my gaming needs.

Then just last week, everytime I log-in to Overwatch it would get me a response as “Lost Connection on Game Server.” I just shrugged it off for maybe there were issues on the Bnet server but for a week this is always the case (I usually play OW everyday even for just a game). Determined, I would always type my Email and Password, then on every 8th or 12th attempt I would connect and play fine.

For the record, I would play StarCraft and Diablo and they work perfectly fine. I even play some steam games like DOTA 2, PUBG and CS:GO and they all work perfectly fine. Please help! Overwatch is my favorite game and It sometimes de-stresses me for the busy-filled me on weekdays. What is wrong?

I’ve tried turning off the firewall to Scan and Repair the game and to no avail. I play on America server and I’m fron the Philippines. Hoping to get a response soon.

Thanks Blizz.

Since the Overwatch servers are not the same as the servers for those other games, it’s likely your route to them (decided by your ISP) has changed. This is usually due to a hub being down for repairs or maintenance. You can confirm this by looking at a WinMTR test, like the one described in this thread: Common Technical Issues and Solutions

Thanks! Tried those things but still cant Log-In.

What I do realize that when I go to Asia Server I can connect but the latency is high like a 160-170 average. I play in the Americas before as the latency there is low like an average of 75-90. Seems to me that bnet needs to have a SEA dedicated server for OW.

My friends and I that live in the Philippines too are having the same issue. The issue only happens in Overwatch, not other Blizzard games such as HoTS or SC2.

Same, I’m from the Philippines I usually play on Americas server as suggested, but lately I’ve been getting the “Lost connection to game server” right after “entering game”. I’m playing in Asia server for the mean time but I hope this gets fixed soon.

Same issue here. Location: Philippines. Some of my mates can play easily. I have Globe as my ISP. I believe this is an issue with Globe. I hope Blizzard Philippines can contact Globe about this since Globe did not give a sh*t when i reported it to them.

Thanks for the help guys. I thought I’m the only one having this problem.

That aside, I also have GLOBE as my ISP here in the Philippines. Asia server is lagging at the moment, averaging around 130-150ish latency. Its not fun to play while having these issues running. I know we are a minority in terms of playing population but we really need our own servers here in the SEA/AU region or just fix the servers flat out.

I hope blizzard can fix this one before the Winter Event.

How can I use that tracerroute of yours. Thanks

use Blizzard’s looking-glass. you can easily find it with a quick google search.

Yeah, I’m experiecing the same thing. Globe as well. Sometimes, I’d be able to get Mudfish to work, but the effectiveness is intermittent at best. Not a real fix imho.

I really hope Blizzard and Globe work together to get to the bottom of this.

I’m relieved I’m not the only one who can’t connect to the Americas server. I’m from the PH and have Globe as an ISP as well. This is so annoying.

I cant post the traceroute here. Says “cant include links”. Sorry I’m not that of a techie guy. LOL

Same issue here, using Globe ISP (100 Mbps). ALL other Blizz games are fine, it’s only OW that’s having issues logging on to Americas. C’mon let’s get this resolved please.

Since it’s an ISP issue and not Blizz, it will be helpful for people to call their provider and let them know. Might speed up the fixing process.

I think its been resolved! I can finally play Americas Server.

Thanks Blizz!!

The issue disappeared for 2 days. It’s now back with a vengeance.
