It was always obnoxious but now the tank role queue is unplayable.
There is no tank counter for it. Dva can annoy her or you can provide shields for dpps but its irrelevant.
Tank queue is basically movie about hoping that DPSs which you have no control about will counter that or not.
This synergy must be killed.
And after that buff Pharah definately, she deserves it after 2 years to be viable single hero instead of being dependent on another 1 specific hero in this obnoxious combo.
I didnt see dangerous Pharah without Mercy in my 3500 hours and 18 seasons played… cmon, even Pharah mains would like her hero stronger independent then to be in this combo slavery which is unhealthy for this game from so many points, no?

While I wouldn’t be against Pharmercy being nerfed because I feel their synergy is what prevents Pharah from receiving any buffs (I think she needs some IMO), how would you suggest they nerf Pharmercy’s synergy without ruining either of their kits?

Agreed, both Pharah and Mercy are already both in a precarious position. Not sure nerfing is on the cards.

Pharahmercy is not op but this combo is really opressive against many heros.
No one hero should hardcounter others heros.

Thing is, you need 2 ranged dps that will coordinate together while tanks provide cover. If the 2 dps can focus fire either of the Pharmercy combo and are halfway decent, it counters the combo quite well. Thing is you need at least one good shield tank for cover.
That is 2 heroes that require the other comp to have 3 hero types to pull off.
Unless you have a crack shot widow. Than it’s 1:2. But at certain ranks, widows aren’t generally good enough to be consistent.
Another thing is, if you have at least 1 decent hit scan with some cover, it will keep pharmercy busy while the rest of the hitscan’s team handles the ground game. And this can be done where it’s wssentially the pharmacy team at a disadvantage because it’s 5v4 on the ground.
Good team positioning and team work can keep the hitscan protected while he keeps pharmacy occupied while the rest of the team work on the ground.
everytime i see someone complain about pharamercy…i click on their profile and without fail is always a console player

Pharah also makes it necessary to run certain heroes that wouldn’t get run if there wasn’t an airborne threat to deal with.
I.e. Larger hero usage variety
Yes, hero who is viable only with another specific hero is utter trash desing which wasnt fixed for 2+ years…
Buff Pharah definately while cancelling pharmercy synergy.
Correct. Pharah needs buffs, but PharaMercy is what stopping Blizzard from buffing her in any manor. Hence why she’s been ignored for a very long time.
Don’t think there is a way to do that specifically. Without “ruining” either kits, you would either have to take away Mercy’s glide / passive or rework Pharah entirely as a character in order to rid of Flight as a mechanic in order to put down the synergy for good.
Which becomes a problem for any person who likes either character as Mercy’s glide has been apart of her kit since the beginning and Pharah as a character is built around the entire mechanic of flight. If Blizzard ever decide to actually do anything about the synergy one of the two characters are going to lose something.
I don’t see another way around it.

tbh, this might be just me, but pharah is like…kinda meh. She can be countered in a lot of ways, not just hitscan either. My friend mains zen in comp, and he’s really powerful against her too. Pharah is very vulnerable even with a mercy pocket, keep in mind her barrage is like…a guarantee death unless the team dumps a lot of resources to keep her alive (zarya bubble, nano, etc) I think pharmercy is def much stronger on console (i remember jayne even saying it’s pretty broken for console players too) however pharah is still a very vulnerable hero to play rn. just my opinion tho.

I’m sorry but taking away Pharah’s flight would be too much… that’s like getting rid of Wrecking Ball’s rolling or Zarya’s bubbles. It’s definitive to her design.
If anything, I think she needs some mobility buffs, her flight is clunky and makes her an easy target

It’d be easier then sitting through an entire year of Mercy reworks again.
But at this point I seriously doubt Blizzard is going to do something about it. As if they were, they would’ve done something already.
Edit: Got confused on the person I was replying too. My b.
Make it where Mercy can only hold her glide for a few seconds while not ulting. Problem mostly solved while the rest of the time it barely matters.

OP is the one that wants it killed, I wouldn’t be against it but I don’t see a way to tarnish their synergy without tarnishing their kits.
Like, how would you get rid of Bastion/Shield tank synergy without getting rid of Bastion’s turret form or the tanks’ shield?
Or how would you nerf grav dragon without changing graviton surge or a Shimada ult?
It’s not either hero’s fault that their kits mesh well together. But I understand Pharmercy is a problem on console
I would be happy if there were limitations on Mercy’s glide, for instance it broke and she fell at regular speed after two seconds maybe. This could inhibit Pharmercy and then you could give Pharah the straight compensation buffs she needs like better aerial mobility.
Maybe you could even compensate Mercy by giving her the option to cancel rez.
One hero can’t counter two
Is this a problem?
This would be TERRIBLE
Please Blizzard never do this to Mercy. We’ve already dealt with enough at this point!

Pharmercy synergy needs to be killed? It’s the only thing making Pharah viable lol. And it’s very beatable.

Rework Pharah
Boom, problem solved.
Having a hero that can stay airborne 100% of the time was never a good idea anyways

Buff Sombra. Boom. Problem solved.

It’s not her fault that some players won’t look up
