On high-end I can see it as being a nuisance, but below that, Pharah (and Mercy) really struggles when a sentry is locked onto her. Even if she’s aware and is returning fire, it forces her to land.

I’ll usually switch to Torjborn if a Pharah is posing a big threat.

As much as I hate pharah in almost every way I don’t think she needs a nerf

Fight teamwork with teamwork.

Widowmaker + Mercy + Zen discord means you don’t even need to hit a headshot to drop them. A single body will do, any Widow even in gold should be able to hit a body shot.

I come from TF2, and if you want to hit a fast-moving player out the air, you hit them with projectiles. And that’s not something amazing, that’s like the bare minimum for competitive players. Even Open players can do it consistently.

People need to practice their airshots and stop assuming they need hitscan. :slight_smile:

Pharah solution:

Use Mccree, Mei (alternate fire), Widowmaker, Hanzo, Solider 76, and Sombra (her hacking ability).

Pharah/Mercy solution:

Use the characters mentioned above and target Mercy first.

If you have a problem with aim or for whatever reason do not use any of the characters mentioned above, then just shoot in Pharah and/or Mercy’s general direction. You can cause them to lose focus and let your teammates finish them off. That is if your teammates don’t have the IQ of a rock.

Why only 3? Mccree,Sombra,Soldier76,Widow maker,Moira,D.va and
Torbjorn. Sure sometimes she can be annoying but a good widow can take her out in less than a second… if you dont like playing widow just put a shield with one of her other counters and hopefully everything will be alright… another option is Hanzo which can sometimes be difficult but can one shot her too or Zenyatta which will make her life much harder…

Drop a zen orb then do damage. But widow can take care of her alone too…
Also mccree ult charges very quickly and it can easily delete em both girls from the sky. :stuck_out_tongue:

D.va is the number 1 counter for Pharah. She can fly and shoot at the same time and once she does her collision damage she can finish her off with some midair missiles.

You must have missed that D.va update.

Zen has extremely fast projectiles + a damage boost that helps his and others damage against her.

Hanzo and Orisa or tougher matchups but if you are good with hanzo she will not be up there for long. Orisa can essentially keep Pharah at bay making her ineffective due to the travel time of her rockets. Not to mention Pharah cannot break the shield barrier before she has it off cooldown again.

A Pharah on her own is very manageable, and honestly I feel Pharmercy just shows good teamwork. It’s like Apeyatta, or Oristion. You just have to combat teamwork with teamwork

Every half decent soldier , widow , mcree , dva , sombra, player who can look up the sky absolutely destroys phara unless she’s pocketed

Does anyone else feel like Pharah OP threads all but disappeared for a long time but are suddenly back because Brigitte comps have no range and Pharah is effective against it?

Bastion counters pharah and pharmercy at midrange if you can aim, mercy can heal all she wants that 500 dps is still going to kill them. Ironically pharah also some what counters bastion

Not a good Pharmercy. You’d have to be in recon, 'cause pharah can peek corners and light your stationary turret spot up. And as we all know, if you’re a Bastion player stuck in recon, you might as well just play Soldier.

I’d rank Recon Bastion over Soldier for Survivability, more health to deal with, and self healing while walking
