First of all, a flying rocket hero. How cool is that? There’s no one like her in the game.
Second of all, she is easily countered by hitscan and anything with long range. Even when pocketed by a Mercy, she is not going to be oppressive if your team works together to bring first the Mercy down, then the Pharah.
Third, her splash damage was nerfed so she has to rely more on direct hits to secure skills. Especially in a shield heavy meta, she is by no means overpowered. She is a balanced hero who is checked by hitscans (there are plenty by the way) but also checks the short range heroes like Reaper and Mei.
Her flying feels fun but it is also fairly slow and easy to track for someone looking to kill her. She is pretty vulnerable while out in the open, but - like any other long range hero - if she uses cover to poke she can stay out of fire.
Lastly, I love her aesthetic, appearance and character. She is the best hero in the game IMO (lore wise, appearance wise). But that’s just more of a personal thing

Love pharah, but i can’t really decide which part of her gameplay i like more. It’s either the falling to the ground dead part or running from the spawn part.
I’m kinda salty that she’s being ignored by the devs if you haven’t noticed.

Her all-or-nothing style is actually pretty bad. Either they have hitscan and you die, or they don’t and you are unstoppable.
Pharah, like bastion, is a relic of when the devs thought people would actually swap heroes.

I know this is for the other thread but I have to agree that Pharah is terribly designed (gameplay wise.)
Even right now, only four of the healers that can actually heal Pharah from the sky and only three of them that provide a reliable healing. Her ultimate is basically a suicide button and half of the roster could shut her down with minimum effort.
I wouldn’t call that a good design imo. Same with Moira, Brig, Etc.

That means just widow and no one else apparently.

Did we really need a compensation thread? Pharah doesn’t need a defense attorney lmao.
She’s a much more balanced hero design than Doomfist, what were they thinking?

God forbid someone be positive about anything in this forum, am I right?

From a rank balancing stand point, Pharah is a very problematic design because she’s basically untouchable by half the roster and easy to kill by the other. She will either be trash in higher ranks or unstoppable in lower.
Her concept though is very nice
I’m fine with positivity, but come on. This thread wouldn’t exist if the other one wasn’t created first. We really don’t need combative compensation positivity. If someone thinks Pharah is poorly designed (which she is), this thread won’t change their mind.
Oh is this a response to another thread? I just logged on. Pff, yeah you are right then. One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone responds to a thread by making another thread to get more attention. It clutters up the main page with half a dozen of the same topic.

Giving her (clunky) perma-flight was a short-sighted move that holds her back and makes her frustrating to play against.

Ana is a nice counter too

No, I just really like Pharah’s design and wanted to share my positive thought? Is that a crime?
Not sure about the ignored part cause they already buffed her and made her way better than she was before.
This Pharah can’t Barrage eh ?
She can still rain her justice down all over me, if you know what I mean. Actually I don’t know what I mean.

When I was doing my placements (gm at the time) I was struggling against the hitscans. I didn’t feel like swapping so I played ground pharah. I would hover a little but still played like another dps would. Then when the McCree would come at me with flashbang I would use jump jet and then flight right back down
