Phara jet pack solution

The problem is Phara and Mercy together in the sky with one jet pack.
Limit their air time together without punishing Phara.

Nerf the jet pack. Not Phara.

Nerf the jet pack to accommodate Phara only. Revert her jet pack to an earlier version. Allow Phara to maintain flight like before ALONE in the sky.

When Mercy attaches to Phara the jet pack should feel the strain. The jet pack should burn more fuel when Mercy attaches to Phara overloading the jet pack.

This way Phara can still be able to maintain flight alone, while Mercy can still come to her aid to heal or boost her when she needs it.

Flight time is limited by burning more fuel when Mercy attaches to Phara.

The concept is simple.
The jet pack was designed for Phara.
The jet pack should not be allowed to accommodate two.

People complaining this is a huge Mercy nerf in 3, 2, 1…

Eh I once tried this for a few games and it wasn’t that much of a hindrance, the time loss between connections is actually fairly minimal and depending on map there are various way to maintain height for long periods or maintain connection by landing on some high platforms.

Don’t get me wrong it will certainly dissuade the casual phamercy duo a mercy who know their stuff like I could easily overcome this no issue

The jet pack is the nerf target not Mercy or Phara.

It’s better…nerf the jet pack not to accommodate two.

I would rather have Mercy fly around more than to have Phara and Mercy attached at the hip all the time.

Sadly, as much as I wish the dev’s would do something to get rid of their synergy so pharah herself can be given buffs that she needs, I don’t think it’ll ever happen. Constantly relying on a mercy doesn’t feel good for the pharah, or the mercy

The solution they came up with nerfs Phara because of Mercy.
Nerfing the jet pack nerfs Phamercy not Phara.

I’m ready for it honestly. I play a lot of Mercy and I don’t find it to be a nerf. The only time it affects me is if I’m pocketing a Pharah or Echo. :upside_down_face:

Pocketing Phara can still happen; just not for a very long time.

This won’t work because Mercy can Guardian Angel to Pharah without attaching her beam to her. Pharah doesn’t constantly use her jetpack to maintain flight so Mercy can toggle her beam off an on turn the flight down time (which happens frequently if you’re not trying to burn all your fuel in 3 seconds).

A better change that would be to make it so Mercy can’t Guardian Angel to the same target twice in a row unless she touches the ground or an arbitrary amount of time has passed.

Are people still playing Pharah? Pharah has like a 1% pick rate (like 1.7% in Bronze) or something and statistically there’s at least 1 McCree in 83% of games. Why is Pharmercy an issue right now of all times??!

Pharmercy was the cause for the Phara nerfs.

Phara was much more effective when she was able to maintain her flight in the sky indefinitely.

Just because of the Pharmercy combo Phara has been grounded.
The jet pack solution is better. It will restore Phara’s air superiority while nerfing the Pharamercy combo.

Nerf Pharmercy, not Phara.
Don’t punish Phara just because Mercy decides to pocket her in the sky.
