Perks prove balance never mattered

They added around 160 buffs in one patch, some of which are entire new abilities, obviously that’s not going to be too balanced on the fiirst try, yet it’s the best patch in like a year

The game never needed fine grain balance, just don’t let anything too easy or too weak become too powerful, let everyone else be strong in some patches, and nerf anything that becomes must pick, and that’s all you need

The L1 perks should be built into every hero, e.g. update them accordingly with both perks.

The L2 perks should be pre-selectable at anytime so that we can do it when not in the heat of battle.

Right, because they were doing such a good job balancing the base game.

Perks are awful and their implementation is poor. Anyone with an ounce of foresight wouldn’t have let perks ship in this state.

Balance is all about notches. Hypothetically the more things you can tweak, the better you can realize an “effective” balance without ruining a character. I am not really a fan of perks overall, but I can see what they were going for.
