After being allowed to use the perks one match to find they have been denied to me the next match is certainly annoying, but when your whole team is denied them, well the match goes very quickly when one team has lvl 3 perks and the other has none.
It’s bad enough the devs seem intent on driving all flex players away, but this level of “metagaming” to help one side win is just terrible.
Was excited to finally see what is effectively what we were promised for Oct 2022… oh well back to Rivals

Perks don’t carry over to the next match from my understanding. You have to re-earn them each game, no? So the other team had perks straight out of spawn?
No, all 10 of us levelled up during the match, but one side was simply denied the use of perks, by the “bug” that says your button isn’t bound.
Even unbinding it, rebinding it, and one guy tried crashing out and reconnecting… just OUR side wasn’t able to have any and the other side all had 2.
I would put this in the bugs category if this is the case, there is no feature to deny anyone perks.
Unless you are constantly swapping heroes there should be no reason to not have any perks when playing, unless you are actively not doing anything as they are based on personal leveling.
Having one side win isn’t an inherent issue with the perks either, that would be an issue with the MM.
Have you tried binding the button for each hero? Some heroes’ bindings don’t sync with global bindings.

That is what I did. I use left alt already, so it came unbound. Then under global settings I bound it. But any hero with specific setting changes didn’t get it, so I had to go through 10 heroes or so and bind it. It wasn’t too much of a hassle, as it kept me at the same screen each time while picking the next hero. So picked a hero, clicked to add the keybind, and then onto the next hero.
That seems to have worked, will try more later.
Yes been using alt for years, such a convenient key for many things.
If only OW supported customisation… I’d love to rearrange the HUD too, but it’s not like WoW was mod-able either…
