Perk Question: Torbjorn

One of Torbjorns perks is Craftsman: “Forge Hammer can restore armor health to allies. Turret repair’s heal is increased by 25%.”

I’m a bit confused on exactly what this means though and don’t know how to test it. Is it only armor health that he can heal and therefore he can’t heal allies if their armor is depleted or can he heal any ally that happens to have armor as part of their base health reagrdless of if they currently have armor?

(If an ally Bastion is at low health and therefore no longer has armor, can Torbjorn still heal him?)

And does Overload effect it in a way other than swinging faster=more healing per second?

Also, psa, if your ally Torbjorn is running at you swinging his hammer, please don’t run. I know, he’s hot and its intimidating but he’s probably trying to heal you lol.

it will repair the armor portion of bastion or brig but not fully heal them so its not amazing but it can come in clutch if you use it for spot heals on a tank too that has armor best to use overload first so you repair faster then swap back to dmg

This Workshop code may or may not be helpful:

WQ920

Select Torb. Grab the ult pack behind Redhog to get perks online quickly. Select the hammer perk. Keep hammering away at blue Ball. Eventually his HP will get nuked.

Hit him with your hammer and you’ll see his armour HP start to get restored. His shield HP will regenerate of its own accord. However, you won’t be able to heal any of his white HP. You can only restore the armour HP to its full amount. You’ll end up with this:

repairing-a-rat

and won’t be able to help him any further, because all you can do is “heal” any missing armour HP.

I’m worried about the other perk the Fully Loaded.
Activating Overload already fully refills Rivet Gun’s without need of any perk which make it a useless perk.
