Imagine that, a season where they nerf nothing, and instead just nerf the top tier characters and their problems. Because dear lord the power creep is just far too much.

They’re too scared to do nerfs because they dont want people to quit over their heroes getting nerfed, regardless if they deserve it
Thats literally why we got the season 9 patch. The devs were too afraid to nerf the absurd amount of burst damage, high healing numbers & insane sustain some tanks had.
So instead they buffed hp instead of nerfing burst dmg, added the dps passive instead of nerfing healing, changed how armor works instead of addressing how unkillable some tanks could be

Mercy is one of the most nerfed heroes in the games history, plus she’s not even good right now.

Once they understand why people don’t want to play tank (chain CC, too many slows, Ana and Sombra exist in most games, etc.) then they’ll have to nerf all the tanks and reconsider their approach to making them fun.
They have taken completely the wrong direction to make tanking more fun and will have to backtrack to go a more correct route in coming seasons.
That is what a mercy main would say.

Which can be done… How in 5v5? They aren’t fun because they are always countered, they have far too much pressure put on them. Are constantly subject to toxicity.
Like, these are inherent to solo tank gameplay.
Give her an alternate… maybe a spinning staff similar to Orisa as a defensive only. But, I get what you mean.
