I don’t know if I’m the only one effected by this but sometimes i experience huge frame drops on OW2 , this started happens after April Fool Update .
My usual FPS is 144 and it didn’t drop below 143 before but now its goes below 60 or sometimes continue to drop below that until match ends .
I looked for a reason why this happening and i found out CPU randomly spike at 100% which is impossible on Core i5-12th gen for a game like this .
I don’t know if its something wrong with the game code because there’s no way I can be sure . this only happens randomly like 1 in 20 something like that so its hard pin point exact issue
**My Specs are ** CPU : Core i5 - 12600K RAM : 32GB DDR5
**GPU : RTX 3060 ** OS : WIN 11 PRO 24H2
I also found out that Nvidia driver Version 572.83 has issues. so after updating to Driver Version 566.36 which is stable version according to Nvidia Driver Forums i haven’t got the issue ( YET ) so i’m not sure if its the driver or the game code that caused it .
I hope someone here having the same issue if so let me know .
I happened to have the same issue, and literally tried everything, any solution old forums and other posts had to offer. When that didn’t work, i contacted Blizzard support, who kept replying with automated messages
Long story short, I posted on another reddit, and someone suggested that the new discord overlay may be the culprit, since it was causing them issues as well. And turns out that was the case for me too. So it’s worth a try, if you have it enabled.
My frames have stopped dropping so dramatically and i can maintain a steady 240, with a few drops to 220.
yep, i can run this game at 240 hz no problem (my monitor refresh rate) with a 4090 but on random occasions i dip down to like 70 fps and just a bit ago i dropped to 7 frames… lol
