Flex should be the “I want to play a bit of everything” queue, not the tank queue but with a different button. If people had a queue option that gave them tank around 1/3 of the time, they’d actually play that, and there’d actually be a reasonable amount of tank players. As of now there is no reason to ever queue flex if you have the battlepass done, if I wanted to play tank every match, I’d queue tank

Hell nah. I fear queueing for all roles even right now because it might not give me tank. I usually get DPS or support and I am sick of it. Nobody wants to play those lame characters! Change the freaking challenges to count as Tank OR All Roles. Please and thank you.

That isn’t what Flex is. Flex is “I am willing to play whatever gets me into a game fastest”. If you want to play specific roles (or even 2 roles) you have the option to do that via the selector.
I just don’t get what exactly you would want because any request to play another to play another role you have the power to do yourself. The only downside is being willing to wait. When you hit Flex you are saying “I want a quick game and will play whatever gets me that”.

Come on snowmanman. You have been around for long time. You should know better that it is not a flex queue. It is a fill up role queue for whatever roles is needed to speed up queue times.
It only purpose is lowering the wait times, not to be a randomizer. If you want a random role (which is not flexing btw), you can do that by yourself.

I’m more saying “I want to get my daily/weekly, but I’m not going to play tank more than once or twice, and you’re not going to punish me for quitting during forming a team, so let’s see how long we do this dance until I just give up and queue support like I want.”

I know the feeling, I queue flex with friends, and then I randomly get support and everyone is like “welp!”

Implementing a priority requeue for dps/supports in flex queue after playing x tank games would fix the problem while keeping flex queue the “get me in a game fast” pick. I feel like you used to get this at some point.

Yes that is literally what the button is designed to do. You are willing to “flex” into whatever is needed to get a match going. The people who want otherwise seemingly want the near instant queue of flex with the perks of getting the role they actually want.

Yes!!! That’s exactly what I want. I want the credit for queueing flex without the burden of queueing for flex!
(Honestly, what I’d really like is if they still had awards for tanking, like the old weekly challenge requiring X games in each of 2 roles. I will begrudgingly play tank, but only if it’s contributing to some other goal. Otherwise, I’m likely to drop out during assemble your team phase.)

All queue means you queue into all the roles simultaneously, it just happens to only be tank because that is always the role with the fewest players
Correct. However, the statement above about flex is incorrect
fr, the only reason anyone would ever play flex is for the weeklies. and i DREAD doing flex weeklies for that exact reason.
