An mmr reset will absolutely ruin this game even further as you can see from the “little” bug that has just happened. there are now many top players in gold and are about to absolutely destroy lower elo games, if you thought it was hard climbing out of your elo due to your stupidity already then get ready for this storm.

So many forum criers fail to actually do the calculations. It’s about 14hrs of straight WINNING to get from Gold to GM. IF you belong there, people who have proved they’re GM for 17 seasons should not have to suffer through jumbled ranks. (This is coming from a gold/plat support)

of course we are going to be able to go back to our natural rank but during that time its not gonna be fun for the lower elos who are about to get GMs in their games

Not really. Diamond+ is just 15% of the population with masters+ being 3%?
So it won’t be like GMs are in every match. However, quality of matches will be even worse because you’ll get 2.5k players playing against 2.9k (people believe there’s no difference but there’s a lot).
People just want to see improvements 
if I really need to be higher rank, I’d put a fake rank in the character portrait.
Btw, higher ranks aren’t amazing in everything. Generally it’s better movement+WAY better target priority and focus.

But… they already do mess up lower ranks with their other accounts.
When they dont want to rank on their mains accounts, seen them throw games at diamond ranks, all the time, be it leaving or feeding, seen GM accounts purposely lose SR just to go to Bronze and Gold games.
Why? Probably becuase they have nothing better to do.

Yep, boosted healer main who only plays solo and got GM as tank and support multiple times alone.

Oh and you can’t read… I just told you I’ve always played solo in ranked. Who’s my booster then? I got boosted by a random player I didn’t know, carrying me every game on multiple accounts over multiple months?

Just in the 6 games I got to play with the “bug” I found it hilarious. I felt almost God like playing Pharah and just dunking on people. By the 5 game it was sad. Facing double hitscan DPS plus Bap and Ana supports and still only die once or twice the whole game and most the time was when I ulted.
I am not some super great player either. I jump between plat and diamond all the time. So ain’t like I’m a top 500 player. But even taking someone who is almost 1000 Sr higher and just tossing them with lower players is a bad idea. I will get back to my rank with little to no problem, but I feel the people who are ranked lower than the average will have a terrible time. That is not fair to them to be stuck in games they just get steamrolled in or games that they have no impact and don’t get a chance to learn and get better.

It’s normal to play meta in ranked, it’s not boosting to do so. But realistically you’d have to be really, really good with that character if it’s the only one you can play to GM.
Some people are like that and they deserve GM on that character just as much as someone else.
