People who don't like 2-2-2

It’s hard for me to take this small minority’s apocalyptic salty protest seriously because they legitimately can go play arcade when they want unstructured overwatch, this was 100% a Win-Win move by developers. Sense role que only negatively bothers the people who needed it, imagine not caring about unapologetically harming the player experience for 3 years, not accepting an identical resolution, and demanding a revert.
Lets just say I’m glad that type of blatant behavior will be restricted to the arcade.

I know of no valid data to support the claim of a minority in the original post

Yea it’s not like Scott Mercer openly saying they appreciate the feedback being overwhelmingly positive means anything right…? Not like they’d know better than Megadodo…

I will laugh when QP classic vanishes because there weren’t enough people playing it.

I’m sure QP will be also known as deathmatch and it will get pretty boring pretty fast

 Yea and 1million dollars says the people who “hate 222” are gonna still say “I need healing,” when QP role que launches… which is ironically a direct benefit of having 222

You do know that the devs ignore anything that doesn’t praise them as Gods right?

I think Blizz should consider reverting 2-2-2 in higher ranks only, like Masters and GM. The playerbase there is small and nobody deserves to wait like 50 min to play a match.

I’m not salty, but I do not fully enjoy it. Being restricted to a role entirely before knowing the map, and not being able to swap mid-match is what hinders me from fully enjoying it.

I’m also not enjoying it because hero balance went out the door. Widow needs to be hard nerfed with Hanzo, Sigma, and Orisa. Mei and Doomfist also need to be adjusted. And Moira + Ana heals = rarely does anything die.

That is a poorly informed opinion you have there.
It seems to me that flex players aren’t really winning here now that their play style is gutted.

He/She doesn’t know chat

Yes and the developers also said that the mercy rework was a huge success before it received any nerfs, they tend to lie sometimes.

Flexplayer benefit a lot.
I’m sure most most flex player don’t have close SR on their roles.

???

I’m guessing by your response you don’t now how flexing works if you think 2-2-2 benefits it.
It completely guts the play style.

no its not. I want to play in a competitive environment without a team comp being forced upon me.

You can que with a team and get the 222 comp you want without it being forced on everyone.

I cant que into comp and try to break the meta or run unique comps with 222 enforced.

imagine feeling so entitled you feel everyone should be forced to play the way you want.

One of the best parts of OW was how accessible it was, and how flexible you could be as a player and as a team.
It was the free, organic gameplay that made OW special to me. I could assume any role at any time and impact the match in different ways. I learned what being a flex player was because of OW.
In its place are longer ques, forced comps, limited diversity for both player and teams, not to mention more bickering between teammates due to having less control of the match outcome.
I honestly don’t see how roleQ is going to improve the game, especially in Quick Play. The idea of QP is that its fast and not meant to be taken seriously. Why force 2/2/2 on people who don’t even want it? I don’t even

It might just kill off the casual playerbase of this game in the long term. Fine by me if you like your supercompetitive game that’s only being played by a hardcore playerbase… but don’t come crying if Actiblizz decides to pull the plug if not enough people are playing anymore to their liking. After all, it’s the masses that keep a game running, not that subset of blokes that take the game more seriously than their job.

LFG also got ‘overwhelmingly positive’ feedback… yeah…

I agree with this.

Not Really.

Scott Mercer is running a private forum profile.

Running a private forum profile doesn’t hide when you are online and it doesn’t hide your posts very well.

It does however hide your activity.

You see, Scott Mercer never really read forums much back in the day and after he and other staffs lack of reading forums was pointed out they swapped to private profiles.

Scott Mercer at around that point had read 399 posts on 49 topics.

For comparison Jeff Kaplan and Geoff had both read around 7x as many posts and hadn’t been great at reading feedback.

Chu was the only staff that was involved with overall feedback with a semi-decent amount read that’s still true today. If you look at the developers late on it’s virtually always Chu. Some of the other staff read a decent amount when it relates to them.

You may be thinking but what if Scott Mercer reads the forums offline or has someone else read it for him then informs him.

Well the thing is, you’ll notice that in many of the feedback posts people asked if Role Queue was going to count for later stats. Several of the feedback threads that were stickied on reddit incorrectly stated that it did not count.

Yet, it was never addressed by Blizzard until replies in Scott Mercer’s thread.

I’m genuinely so happy that Blizzard has finally taken the 1st necessary steps to improve things knowing that it will initially divide the community.

It’s a shame to see a game so team oriented with countless synergies and combos to be utilised across a mix of all 3 roles just be the random mess it had become (ESPECIALLY in quickplay). Freedom has been abused way too much, now with abit more structure and balance across all 3 roles we can hopefully look forward to seeing a lot more of what overwatch should be about… team-oriented gameplay with all 3 roles enabling each other whilst working towards the common goal of winning

Source ? Stats ? Numbers ?

None ? Then it’s pure assumptions of your own imagination.

Imagine not being able to accept a game the way it was created, harming devs and happy players for 3 years, crying so loud on the forums until getting whatever change you want and expecting others not to ask for said change to be tweaked into something similar to what they use to have.

And I’m glad that those who pushed 2-2-2 on everyone got tricked during the beta (because the SR is gonna be used for further Comp) and decayed.

What goes around comes around.

Also, about the win-win move you are referring to, I’m not sure it is wise to go with that statement, especially after the role queue’s release was a big failure on September 1st and SR roles are still inaccurate on secondary and tertiary roles.

At least they were wise enough to extend this beta.

As I said 1 month ago, it is completely unrealistic to announce the definitive role queue release on a specific date without even having real data to see if new system is viable or not (which was proven to be not so viable so far).

You’re clearly very delusional. Let’s just say it’s very sad that one is so much into propaganda that they’re willing to completely ignore facts just so they would still keep what they wanted so bad (even if it’s jeopardizing their own matches).

Don’t worry lad, it’s hard for a lot of us to take people like you seriously either. So I guess we’re on the same page.
