People who bought Widowmaker Statue Question

So I bought the statue a while back and always felt something was off overall with the colors, particularly the lipstick and eyeshadow seemed really dark to me. After a conversation I directly compared it to the prototype:

…And it’s pretty obvious just how significantly they diverge. The prototype is subtle and soft while the actual is oversaturated and flat. Her face also appears to be oddly drawn forward from her nose down like somebody dragged Mario’s face out in the N64 game opening title screen.

Am I the only one who has this issue? Are other people’s statues more in line with the prototype?

LOL  Yeah, that’s kinda what it feels like lining them up now. I guess first impressions can be misleading.

Ikr? I mean it’s not horrible, but it’s obviously way off. Almost knock-off off. :expressionless:

It’s the official one? Or a bootleg?

If this statue is from Blizzard, you can send it back to get re-painted but if it’s a bootleg, you’re kinda SoL.

It’s official purchased directly through the Blizzard Gear Store, I never buy secondhand for Blizzard products. Though you’d almost think it was a bootleg to look at it, right?

Definitely not a bootleg I have the receipt and it shows on my Gear Store orders. So they’ll repaint it? Have you had that done for you, kinda curious about the process since I ordered this almost a year ago and am only just now really poring over the details.

Tbh I think the girl was just doing her makeup in bad lighting.

Girl just needs to James Charles it up and do some blending I mean it’s not flashback Mary bad…

Look she’s here to help!

To my knowledge and what I’ve read on all of their statues, not just the OW ones, yes you can. I’ve never purchased myself but I’ve had several friends who have and only one has ever had an issue.

It is a lengthy process because it takes just as much time getting it back and fixed. Otherwise you could try finding a statue painter, one who specializes in faces on Deviant Art or Art station who might take a look at it and give you a fair price.

Either way, it doesn’t look like what you ordered, so Blizzard should fix it.

Tbh if that was a thing I would understand why she one shots. Lol.

That’s good to hear, maybe I’ll hit up the Gear Store support and see if they can do anything about this. I’d take a repaint or an exchange.

All of them look like your copy, that’s why I never ordered one (watched all Youtube reviews back then, see it for yourself if you don’t believe me). It’s looks like chinese garbage for 20 bucks and Blizzard should be ashamed of themselves.
