I see a lot of low elo posts about leavers, throwers, smurfs, clueless teammates, etc… and I find them all meaningless because they don’t offer anything but complaints. I also see a lot of posts about “I deserve to be _____ sr but my teammates hold me back” and whatnot. Message me and Ill carry you to plat for FREE and I guarantee you there will be 0 chance you stay in that rank. 99% of the people I see that complain about how they are better than their current elo just aren’t. People are submitting replay codes where they “carried” but they literally did nothing more than the rest of their team. If you want to climb, watch high level gameplay, and learn how to play like them. Comp forums is full of too much low elo complaining when you could be spending that time actually learning to play the game.

Yup on my main account which i am frankly ashamed of I learned how to play on my first fps while on copious amounts of booze all the way to about 3 star silver portrait. Then I figured out I had ADHD and got put on anti depressants and ritalin becuse the unchecked ADHD was causing monstrous panic attacks. OK so that was solved and I started improving. Then I got pregnant so obviously the booze had to go for the pregnancy and now Im a stay at home mom that has gotten better at playing OW soberly and with Vitamin R to give me lazer spice melange focus. Im stuck in bronze and I used to be mad about ruining my rating cuz of the beer. Except I got so used to playing with bronze that when i play on this account I simply cannot get away with the BS i can get away with on my bronze comp account. Meh, judge all you want I got myself together IRL. On this account I typically get better games but on my main account i have ALL the skins and achievements and I just have accepted my bronze fate. The only thing I care about is efficiently farming for comp currency for golden weapons. But I will say when you play bronze support its a special kind of hell because when tanks don’t pick right theres practically nothing you can do. I do better in bronze tanking and damage, whereas tanking and dps on this account is NOT FUN because I dont have low bronze genji’s to toy with, but actually aware genjis. Oh well.
People would rather just complain about it on the forums and stay in denial. It’s much easier than getting better.

It’s easier to gaslight people into thinking they have gitgud work to do, that their pixels will somehow matter in such a decrepit ladder. It’s easier to deny anything that goes against the system, rather than admit it’s rigged with patented rigging tech by dervs that back rigging.

Thanks but no thanks, not worth the effort especially with all of the external forces at work to maximize the grind. I’d rather spend time educating the blind about the matchmaker and its flaws.
If anyone should be trying to improve at ow in 2021, it’s all the hardstuck 4100’s on these forums. Why stop there when you are only 400 SR away from potentially being something more than a literal who in this game? Perhaps it’s time to take your own advice and focus on yourself.

Well of course it’d be easier to rank up with 2 competent players instead just 1 
. Idk i used to have a friend who was high plat/diamond who I would play with I got all the way up to games where diamonds started appearing in games before things actually got got difficult to the point where I felt I was being outmatched and the win ratio began being closer to 50 as our win streaks died down to reflect that.
However as it stands now im barely in Gold. Though based of the games I played in the past im pretty im pretty sure i could at least stagnate in plat just as well. Realistically it would only take me a couple games to readjust to the play environment as players start having better aim, but thats about it. Im pretty a decent silver or gold could adapt
I only play like 1 or 2 games now a days if any though, so i can’t see myself taking up the offer, though that’s a sweet deal

They want to climb but don’t want to have to improve. This isn’t a topic worth discussing for them as they always want something else to blame.
They have all bought alt accounts and tried to game the system and seen first hand that they belong in their respective ranks.
Until they reflect on themselves look inwards and change their mentality they will always be in low elo.
Actually I can promise you anyone that has been stuck at say even 2000 sr season in and season out ARE improving. Otherwise they would actually lose rating as the ladder obviously evolves with or without them.
The skill inflation in lower elo is pretty insane right now. Take any 2k player put em in a time machine they are easily diamond 2 years ago.
There are far less players now and thus less slots per rank.

There will never be a perfect ladder system. But what we have right now is not anything even remotely healthy.

When I play at high bronze as a support or low gold as a tank I barely can tell a difference anymore in terms of skill… it’s quite negligible anymore. 2 years ago when the ladder has more participation the difference between 1900 and 1500 was night and day… forget about 2200 and 1300. Sr right now borderline means nothing anymore. the ladder really is broken.
As someone who has witnessed both these ranks over the past couple weeks, both playing and watching people play, this is entirely false. The gameplay is extremely different between bronze and gold. I’m not saying you are lying, rather, I believe your lack of awareness in Overwatch (being low ranked, thats a normal thing) is causing you to not see the major differences in the gameplay around you.
Either way, both bronze and gold are low ranks with players that lack basic understanding of the game. Both ranks are going to go left on Temple of Anubis first point into a Junkrat, both ranks are going to fail to ult track the opposing team, thus never counter playing. There are similarities in the ranks but there are also major differences.
Infinite skill inflation apparently. There’s no limit to how good we can get at a game.
Not gonna lie. I love smurfing. It’s fun being able to listen to music and turn my brain off just to enjoy some games.
