I’m not convinced he needs nerfs, but he is certainly a strong hero atm. Just most people are bad at him.

Hey if Sigma, Hog and WB and the whole support line sans Brig can be considered OP according to the forums, why not Doom?

It was a bad joke don’t hurt me

I’d say he doesn’t need nerfs from an objective standpoint. But subjective do it. Bury him 6 feet deep.

The gloom and doom brigade kept saying Doomfist was weak and unplayable so they buffed him. Thats how we got here.

fiction. it may seem like it bc so many cried for nerfs for 40 seasons for every character. nerfs backfire. nerfs create imbalance.

i love how people on these forums claim a character is overpowered without giving any reasons why

I’d love these people saying doom is op try picking him up. He’s a character that requires tons of mechanical skill and quick decision making to not just get blown up by the enemy team.

He’s a strong hero but nowhere near broken. Doom takes a lot of skill so you will either see a really good doom or a really bad one. Same rule applies to genji and hanzo lol

the last time someone told me to swap x tank and pick df was… NEVER
lets be real he is b tier. not even close to wb, rein or sigma. even winston is better in most maps.

Doomfist is in a decent spot right now. He’s powerful but needs some finesse to make work. I’d say leave him be for now.

If he is actually sleeper OP down the road then it’s entirely because a lot of his mains have refused to learn how to play him correctly. I don’t think he is but the constant push of narrative that he’s ā€œtrashā€ needs to go away.

He isn’t an easy tank to play by any means either. It’s simple on paper, punch in, slam out, bait block, or any order of that, but you need the game sense both mechanically and strategically to do as good with him as any other tank.

From a teammate perspective it also isn’t easy to play with a Doomfist in every match, your plays might make sense to you but often not your teammates if you don’t communicate. That’s the difference between a healer being ready to save you while you escape or you just simply becoming a ragdoll that does a funny spin in the air sometimes. If more people catch on to dive play styles then Doom can rise up.

Honestly? Most of the tanks feel OP right now. The only tanks that don’t feel particularly OP are Zarya, Winston, and Hog.

This is largely how I feel about doom

The nerfs to hog and orisa went a long way to helping doom

He’s a solid hero, but isn’t a hero just anyone can pick up and get value on. You need to practice a lot with him, otherwise you’ll just feed your brains out.

For a hero like Doomfist - this is perfect.

You’re right.
I don’t realize how OP Doomfistis.

In the hands of a skilled player he is probably the strongest tank right now, outside of his ult. His ult is F-tier.

The problem is that the average player all the way up to diamond or even low masters can’t play him well enough for him to be considered OP. Nerfing him would make him a throw pick in many ranks. He has the best and furthest boop in the game, some of the best tank CC on a short cooldown, possibly the best tank mobility and a fairly small hitbox. Every other high mobility tank has a large hitbox.

Not really a good ball player was more annoying then a good doom player, A primary tank Shuts doom down AKA orisa, and rein can neutralize him with charge… Ball can atleast dodge bullets… I would prefer neither ball or doom on my team but if i had to pick would rather have ball
