This is what I don’t get with players. People who blame that their ana isn’t healing enough meanwhile they’re so aggro and far up that there are multiple obstacles in the way of healing them. It’s not in every situation, but in situations where we don’t need to chase after the enemy any further and by doing so they’re allowing free picks if the enemy gets them.
Also them blaming that their Ana is dying too much, meanwhile the team has zero map control and are just focused on getting kills as if kills define the entire game. It’s not counter-strike where kills will actually win you the round outright.
People need to learn to stop being so aggressive and analyze the situation and be like, “Oh if i continue pushing in and with the amount of damage the enemy is doing currently, I’d die so maybe I’ll fall back and concede the ground for now.”
But nope the opposite happens. “Keep pushing Keep pushing, ANA why no heals and why you die so much.” Meanwhile on the map, enemy team is allowed to roam free on the map and no information is gathered by the team to analyze and adjust to the current situation. It’s a team game, but it seems like people rather go for glory-kills or glory-plays that make them look good, but don’t really care how it’ll affect their teammates.
Ana isn’t special in this situation. Dps heros get blamed for not killing things even though they aren’t getting healed/their tanks aren’t creating space
It drives me crazy when people don’t consider the sight lines Ana needs to actually heal her team.
When I have an Ana on my team and I know she’s trying to heal me, I’ll stand still If it’s safe to do so
Ok as an ana main, please don’t suddenly stand still, i appreciate it, but i find a lot of ana mains will agree, it’s a little annoying cause I’m predicting where you’re gonna go and then you just stop.
It’s an anas job to have good aim anyway, and the hitboxes are really forgiving on teammates.
Healers always gets blamed (DPS and tanks get blamed too) for silly reasons or unjustified.
I’ve had people complaining about no heals when they got killed by a headshot from full health.
I have had people complain about no heals when I had been pocket healing them non stop for the past 3 minutes.
I have had people complain about no rez when they died way behind enemy lines.
I have had people complain about no heals when they keep running away from me and hiding in building while I literally am chasing after them and trying to heal them
People just like to blame others for their own shortcomings.
I will never forget the time I was playing Zen on Hollywood (Defense) and the Reinhardt was crying about me not healing him…while my healing orb was on him. I had been watching him and had begun healing him before he even said anything, yet his IQ- being in the single digits- wouldn’t allow him the clarity to see that. He then proceeded to cry all game about me not healing him. While I was healing him.
See I was trying to make a joke about people blindly charging in with no back up and people asking for healing while literally running away from their healer because they can’t be bothered to turn around and look themselves but yeah
Most of the time when I accidentally let a teammate in front of me die is when I’m busy trying to heal a damage hero low on health at some annoying angle, because they keep moving in and out of my LoS. They are behind a pillar on higher ground (and wide open to the enemy), causing me to waste 4 shot before I just give up on them to resume healing my tank just for them to die.
If I were to move to get a better angle, I will be out in the option to get shot at and killed. It is why I find healing snipers as annoying as genji/hanzo/junkrat as Ana. Especially when I’m the only healer on the team and they are all fighting on the front line without any shields, or trickling in by pairs. Afterwards they just keep spamming they need healing.
Thats why i didnt include all situations and explained these situations. Can’t heal u if you’re out of LOS, can’t heal you if i’m being attacked and teammates don’t care that you’re dying. In my situations, literally just earlier today, no one wanted to function as a team. A way to describe how my team overall was playing was if you were to close to dying and a friendly tank (say zarya) was near you, they wouldn’t jump in front of u to soak in damage. That’s how much of an individualistic playstyle they had. It was all about feeding their egos rather than make the team function better. We had a rein and no one was playing around rein for godsake. A 2000hp shield and no one was trying to use it so our rein was just soaking in damage.
