People asked for anti heal nerfs

Probably something to do with them knowing players would hate the compensation buffs they’d need to give Ana far more than anti.

Ironic that you say this while ignoring the copious amount of threads and comments complaining about sleep dart.

I was just thinking something like:

Ana

Biotic Grenade

  • Anti-heal reduced from -100% to -50%
  • Duration increased from 3.5 to 4 seconds
  • Damage increased from 60 to 80

Antiheal is absolutely needed and I really do not understand why so many of you keep asking for nerfs. This game’s healing is way too high as it is. We actually need more antiheal or we need to start lowering how much supports can heal. Especially if there are 2 supports for just 5 people.

We want it nerfed because -100% Anti-heal is ultimate levels of strong (only has a 10 sec cooldown too). And really, it’s just bad design for any anti-heal to be -100%, because a Zen ult should not be completely blocked off like it’s a low healing ability.

It is, but it’s silly to have it in the hands of the healer with the highest burst heal.

Really, I think the dps passive should just be like, apply -40% healing on target for the next 3 seconds. Right now the dps roster is pretty damn underpowered imo.

Both abilities are cancerous so i’ll gladly take a sleep nerf

It does feel that way. I’m not sure if any other normal support ability, or even for most heroes on other roles for that matter, where using it on a group has as much of a significant impact on the result of a team fight. It’s so strong that we call out “they’re purple/anti’d” or “huge purple” because we recognize how significant losing healing is in that moment and to encourage each other to make a follow up play. There isn’t many other abilities like that that I can think of. Maybe dynamite, or individual targets discorded or trapped. But yeah, it has huge game changing influence for an common skill, and it’s a quite low cool down too, but I guess people put death prevention abilities or resurrection at another tier above that.

devs just ignore the logical fixes to issues.

Ana’s nade has been her #1 issue for literally 4 yrs.

make it cd 30sec
or make it keep cd but lower anti heal to 75%-50%.

anti heal nade is so busted that it took devs adding a new hero to specifically counter it…which made its own issues like back when they tried to fix their hyper mobility/flanker issue with brig’s stun…it worked on everything not just that specific issue.

It’ll atleast shut tanks up for a bit crying about how there should be nothing in the game that counters them (cough discord whiners).

I feel they have a lot more data to back up their decisions than you do, and I imagine it’s difficult to please everybody with reasonable changes, especially when the community pretty much cries about anything and everything they don’t like (I’m very guilty of this too)

Sooo many complaints about healing on these forums and then you complain about one thing that actually counters it…MAKE UP YOUR MIND!

The healing in the game is wildly variable and that’s what is a little wild about it.

If you play open queue you might have to deal with 3 supports pumping out an ungodly amount of sustain and damage output to boot into 2 tanks. If it is only 2 supports from role queue the amount is potentially lower.

With 2 supports the game can already overcome the amount of healing because focus fire overpowers healing. There are high DPS combos that pump a ton of damage into the game. A bap, Zen, Bastion, Echo, Sigma combo is an insane amount of damage output.

While if teams picks something like Widow, Sombra, Hammond, Brig, and Mercy the dmg output is dramatically lower because there are huge swaths of down time between stuff being hit.

Trying to healbot has routinely shown to not be that efficient because 2 supports healing vs 5 people on the enemy team doing dmg? Usually, that enemy team will win more because 2 supports can’t keep up with the amount of healing.

I’m fine with anti-healing, but I was never really fine with it until Kiriko Suzu came out and could actually remove the anti-healing. Meaning it wasn’t just an immediate trump card against literally every single support in the entire roster. The only ways to counter anti-healing are overhealth (which blizz has removed all sources of it) and cleansing which is exceedingly rare to have.

Another thing that lowers the need for anti-healing is that there is only 1 tank now. There aren’t two tanks with huge health pools that can’t be burst down easily and running up to double shield. With only 1 tanks, 4 squishies, and shields being far weaker its so much easier to keep us constant damage output in the game and overpower healing that way too. Anti-healing to me is not really needed anymore.
