I would like the game a lot more if I could just leave when i’m not having fun.
I don’t like to see myself as a sore loser, I don’t mind losing. If you kicked my аss good, I’ll tip my hat to you, gg wp.
But sometimes it just isn’t fun. Maybe you have someone calling you slurs, maybe you have someone trowing on purpose, maybe you have someone trolling and sabotaging your game. Why am I forced to get stressed, and wait around 8-7 minutes or more for the match to end, so I can maybe, MAYBE, have a normal match and have fun?
Why must I be penalized and have to wait 10 minutes so I can queue again? Marvel rivals gets this right to a tea, you get penelized for 2 minutes, and that’s it. It’s not as punishing or annoying. You go grab a cup of water, maybe a snack, take a leak, and get back into the game.
Meanwhile with overwatch I gotta watch like 5 youtube videos cuz the penalty is like 10 minutes, like c’mon bro, why are you playing hard to get? Most times I just close the game and don’t come back til the next day, it’s that annoying.
I just switch back to marvel rivals. I couldn’t care less about their 10 minutes 30 minutes or an hour whatever they’re doing now. Fix the matchmaker and people won’t leave. This is quick play no idea what’s going on in comp

Same. I haven’t played this game in months, the new perks thing seemed really fun, but after coming back I remembered why I stopped playing this game in the first place.
The one thing these leaver penalty posts never seem to address is backfill. Do you think someone else wants to join the game that you want to quit? Chances are no.
I personally don’t have a problem with it. Just had two games where I joined mid-match, lost one, won the other, they were equally as fun.
If anything, losing mid-match is less frustrating cuz I understand I wasn’t there from the beginning. Maybe I could’ve made the different, or maybe not. Either way, doesn’t feel all that frustrating imo.
Let’s stick with the first question. You can still mute and report. Muting alone solves your issue, so why not that? Unless you really are a sore loser.
Can be, but not always. It’s the same logic as throwing something out, someone’s trash can be someone’s treasure y’know? Like I said, those two people left, and I took their place, clearly they weren’t having fun, but I did. So it depends.
And majority of peoples trash, is still trash to majority of others. Just because you had a good time in a couple backfills, doesn’t mean most others will. If you quit the game because someone was throwing, why would anyone else want to join that. Just finish the bad match and move on.
It’s not a penalty, they’re rewarding you with more time to be away from the thing that is so irksome that you felt the need to leave several matches in small intervals.
It’s not about what you want, you don’t get to choose, you don’t get to know until you’re presented with it, you can either like it or not. I lost the first backfill, but I still had fun because it was funny. The issue isn’t loosing, it’s the frustrating that comes with being FORCED to stay.
Keep in mind, I don’t even think they don’t have a place in the game, it’s just that 10 minutes is honestly insane. Especially when the competition barely asks you to wait 2 minutes, no matter how many times you left a game. (I don’t think I ever quit a single Rivals match in my life, most times I was just afk’ing cuz i needed to go get my food)
If you intend to leave a match, simply dont queue for a match
Hopefully, at some point, Blizzard will set up a backfill-only queue where habitual leavers will be assigned, and can only exit after fully completing at least 3 backfill assignments. Reap what one sows.
Not really, I’m not asking for special treatment, I’m saying no one should have to wait for 10 minutes, not just me.
I get your argument, but I have no complaints about other people leaving, I am a-ok with that. If you’re not having fun, you shouldn’t be forced to stick around, let someone else who’s willing to play take your place.
I have no problem with backfilling at all, so this honestly sounds like heaven. Put me in Coach!
