How are rankings going to be for the two pools if accounts are going to merge . In console I’m around a gold , but in pc I’m a bronze. Am I going to have just the one rank going forward ?
I have two different console ports so I’m asking the same question
Console and PC don’t play ranked together. So it doesn’t matter. For non-comp modes, it’ll just use MMR.
It will display console and PC ranks under separate tabs or whatever. If you have multiple console ranks, it will display your highest.
So you’ll have separate rankings on the same account for PC and for console?
What does that mean for people with two different console versions (I have Xbox and switch) oh lol nvm
Yeah. So in your player profile, imagine a tab for PC and a tab for Console. Or a drop down menu, whatever, some sorta separation between platforms.
But if you are gold on Xbox, diamond on Switch, and bronze on PlayStation and PC, your console tab will just display your highest reached rank on console, which is diamond, and your PC tab will show bronze.
I forgot where this was confirmed exactly, but I remember a dev mentioning in an AMA or just answering someone’s questions on that.
So, the ranks for Competitive Mode will be separate for when you play on PC (PC Pool), and on any console (Console Pool).
In other words, it doesn’t matter what console you play on, since there is already crossplay across all consoles in OW1.
So, your player experience playing Competitive Mode on Console won’t change, but your ranks will remain the same across all Console platforms.
And during the merging of accounts (not sure if that already happened or not), the highest SR across all consoles is what will be chosen, along with your highest border level for your profile.
