[PC] Just Wanted to Point out the Lack of Toxicity

That is Interesting.

And will lead to reports and consequences

PS3 and the remaster on PS4 had it. The remake removed it. Naughtydog makes fun niche multiplayer games, they just never had mass appeal like their single player. Uncharted multiplayer was as fun as OW

The fact that concord got greenlit and factions 2 got canned is unbelievable. TLOU mp is fun but it feels like a game for an older generation of gamers

FACT: What actually happens is the losing team all reports who they deem was at fault. Oh, ugh, this dps was 14-9, that’s not a 3kdr, he must have been throwing. Reported.

Always been my thing ever since OW1. Avoid and move on.

I sincerely doubt it was caused by the scoreboard as the two things share the same idea: give a general idea of how players are doing. Neither system gives tons of context, but I can admit that the score board more explicit.

Terrible people (not terrible players, I’m actually fine with them) still found ways to be terrible.

I’m of the opinion that the bad actors got das boot or learned to shut up, and that the defense matrix (which is far from perfect) is actually doing it’s job decently.

Anecdotally, I text-chat all the time and on rare occasions actually voice chat. I have never felt at risk as I just follow the rules.

i don’t believe this post for a second. what type of alternate universe overwatch 2 are you playing

Your experience, is NOT other peoples experience. Someone just added me to say they are discovering my rl identity to send a bomb to me and my family, and then my own teams duo said “s*** + (full f slur typed out with spaces, why can’t the filter recognize that?), + the 3 letter phrase beginning with K.” before the game even begun in response to someone saying glhf. I left that game, I refuse to heal that. And it was Kings Row which made me even sadder.

Most people also just turn off chat from the get go at this point.

Thats because you get banned for saying anything. Competitive social game

I’m experiencing more than I ever did prior to OW2, and it feels like it’s ramping up despite how much people get silenced when not even talking.

Concord was merely published by Sony; it was not greenlit by them. At the point in which they acquired the studio, it was well into development.

nearly zero chatter on console also. any uptick in toxicity occurred long ago due to activation of rigging. which led to players blaming players rather than devs. rigging became noticeable to exceptionals in 2019. present day no toxicity bc devs obliterated the social aspect of ow across all platforms. by removal of LFG. discouraging chat use by using AI suspensions to bully players out of chat. yet they expected to have an esports crowd. instant contradiction. esports yet endless daily rigging is also an instant contradiction. when players ever display win loss counter while streaming, then we’ll know that rigging may be disabled. ever since rigging has been activated, player base has shrunk into oblivion. not grown.

I also noticed the past few weeks that the toxicity has gone down, especially when I play Ranked. Normally I´m not that into ranked because of other players who start insulting me if I´m not performing too well or if I´m playing a hero they don´t like. But now I play more ranked games to farm for the weekly challenges and Ranked-Points and the chat is mostly very calm.
Overall people seem starting to have more patience for one another which is always welcomed.

i dont enjoy being scapegoated when my team is on the losing side, sometimes i spend the entire match typing back to someone with something vile and i get banned. so i just play with everything muted now
