[PC] Can't Reopen Game After Closing it? Read To Fix!

This has been a bug for many months now, don’t think this small indie company will ever fix it.

Bug: After closing the game, Battle.net or Steam is stuck on “Playing Now”.
Looking at Task Manager, it seems like the game is VERY slowly unloading assets from the RAM, which is causing this to happen. I suspend that this is an issue with AMD GPU users only, not sure.

How to fix:

  1. Click on the settings icon near the Play button for Overwatch
  2. Click on Game Settings
  3. Enable Additional command line arguments
  4. In the input box, type in --fastQuit
  5. Click done.

Now, the Play button should be available much faster next time you close the game.

Note: The first few times, you might be stuck in Overwatch for a couple of mintues when closing your game after this change.

Steam users: There is probably also a way to input command arguments for Overwatch there too, idk.
