This must be the dumbest thing i’ve seen blizzard do. Sure they have made some heroes OP during the years, but this Ramattra ult is a joke. Pop this ult and everything around you dies, and the best part? The ult never ends as long as this giant bs radius connects to someone. Ofcourse this would not be enough for blizzard with their greed. Let’s put him up for sale so people can buy this guy and wreck every QP there is.
Why should everything about this game circle around ultimates and not be more skillbased? The fun about OW is the pure skill you see from players and not their use of ults. If Ramattra has a simillar setup for his kit like the other tanks, that’s fine but this ult is way to strong.

It’s insanely powerful in overtime or when paired with Ana’s, Kiriko’s, Zen’s… Ults. I think that it definitely needs a nerf.
The best area denial in the game and it’s not even close.

They stated it’ll likely get a maximum timer if the speed boost buff they gave him made his ultimate too good. So probably look forward to that in the near future.

Just as a quick bandage, I’d settle for a 10 second timer. When Ram is nano’d during that time, it’s game over if you’re trying to push the payload.
i feel like there needs to be a powershift because his ult is literally his entire worth.

For sure. I haven’t played him since i don’t buy the bs battlepass they want people to spend money on. But i have no problem with at strong kit, simillar to the other tanks but don’t build a hero around a stupid ult

I’m thinking of another solution, that will make it more balanced and still viable: When you’re using your ult you have to aim at an enemy, and as long as you aim at them you extend the timer fo a maximum of 10-15 sec. But everytime you miss a enemy, just like when you miss your shots sometimes the timer goes down.
Pay to win, grind to win, call it what you want. The point is that not everyone has him, so it breaks competitive integrity.

I’ve got an idea, how about you put your money where your mouth is (teehee, see what I did there?) and use some skillful counterplay to circumvent or counter Ram’s ult?

Block/slow his movement?

Negate it entirely with temporary invulnerability?

How about that you behave in a grown up matter and discuss instead of behaving like you do? I have like all players the right to discuss and express my thought’s about the game without people like you saying i’m whining.
I’ll try to answer you in the best way possible:
It’s possible to counter every hero in the game with the right gameplay/hero/teammates and so on, so yes ofcourse those are possible options. But the problem is when all of these counters are way harder to do than to acctually press Q and win. I mean a lot of ults in OW are strong, but they actually take som kind of precision etc. Ramattras ult is not skillbased and to strong for being like that.
