Chances are, you’re going to get shat on by 90% of the community because nobody likes Mauga.
The release versions (and slightly after) tainted the image for this hero so hard that everyone just hates him. If you pick him and lose, you’ll get everyone busting your balls. If you win? It’s because you picked Mauga and nothing else, doesn’t matter if you had to persist through 3 counter-swaps like Ana, reaper, Orisa/Rein, whatever.
Again, they should reward shooting squishies more than tanks instead of giving his cardiac arrest 100% lifesteal
He literally is an anti-tank tank
He cant ever be good without a rework that doesnt make the enemy tanks life hell
Whenever i queue into a mauga as tank I just want to quit because you just spend all match burning getting critted non stop. He never freaking dies because of his stupid 100% lifesteal. His ult is dumb because the number one individual who will always get trapped is the enemy tank. And then its basically a free kill, which then snowballs into a free team fight win because you just block their tank off from all healing and support and melt them while having 100% lifesteal.
Only option is just go mauga and spend all game shooting each other whilst you rely entirely on your team to win the team fight. You both pop your shouts at the same time so neither one gets an advantage, you both ult at the same time so both of you are blocked off from your teams then you just shoot into each other, neither dying until the ults despawn

I have been playing Mauga since day 1 - we are in a good spot right now. We can get countered and if we use our cds well we can put right amount of pressure.
If anything they should let us reload on the charge.
If anything he needs nerfs, not more buffs
Him, hog and orisa are the cardinal sin trio of tanks. They exist solely to counter other tanks and just make the role more miserable
Just removing those 3 heroes from the game would immediately improve the tank experience
I like him. He is fun to play when you need to disrupt a hard pocketed tank. Set the supports on fire and let 'em crawl off to wait out the burn.
Then do it all over again.
He isn’t the ‘I win’ pick people like to think he is. More often then not he lets me turn a stomping into a long drawn out loss that makes that the stompers just as glad the game is over as I am.
Be more specific - nerfs in what aspect?
He has already received a nerf on his survivability and ammo. What areas do you think he is strong now?
Remove his DOT. It shouldn’t exist.

Whut? That’s the most fun part of his kit. Set 'em on fire and watch them all scramble for cover. Burn, baby, burn!
That’d be like taking away the lifesteal noise from junker queen. That’s half the fun of playing her.
