Patch predictions

Patch drops today so naturally the forums will go completely nuts (understandable)…so let’s do some predicting…here’s my list

  • batiste/immortality is OP :white_check_mark:
  • “baptiste is awesome”
  • a “megathread” on whether GOATS is dead or not
  • where is X in the patch notes? cause I’m 100 % sure they will be missing stuff
  • junkrat is OP :white_check_mark:
  • something about mercy being wronged in the patch :white_check_mark:
  • at least 1 person complaining about losing SR when the patch hit even though they knew a week in advanced
  • at least 1 rant about changes being a joke and they’re quitting
  • “devs don’t listen” immediately followed by “ty devs for listening”
  • at least 1 thread about one of the bug fixes that somehow went under the radar
  • several discovered bugs (the most normal one so far)
  • doomfist is OP again :white_check_mark:
  • “is overwatch back/saved”
  • and of course… “nerf/delete brig”

What did I miss?

I never played on PTR, but from what I’ve seen I already hate Baptiste for his immortality field.
I predict a lot of wasted ults.

Symmetra can reach level 3 beam in 2.5 seconds but hey she’s dead in spawn :rofl::rofl:

What is this buff you speak of? If it was the bug that removed the rez slow in Valk, that got patched out a while ago.

They might be talking about the buff/nerf to the way her damage boost interacts with projectiles.

I think you hit the main ones that will happen.

I could also see heroes that fit in the classic bunker comp getting “______ is OP” threads since Baptiste makes them much better… especially Orisa and Bastion.

Also I suspect if Baptiste + Mercy comps become meta or even just common on ladder (which I could see happening)… there will be a flood of “Mercy is too low skill to be meta!!! NEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRFFFFFFFFFFF!” or “I DON’T WANT TO BE FORCED ONTO MERCY!!!”.

Edit: Oh also people will pitch a massive fit if Goats is not 100% dead after this patch.

The Overwatch is dying posts are pretty much on auto-pilot at this point. I think I see 5 per day. They’re getting old…

or “So every hero gets changes AND WE STILL HAVE NO DEV FEEDBACK ON MERCY AAAAAAAAA”
Can’t wait. Hopefully, the community learned to ignore those threads, but they’re still fun to see appearing.
