I dunno man, 2 buffs to tanks and only 2 nerfs. Plus ana nade nerf so another win for tanks in general.
Very few changes.
Seems like blizzard is happy with how tanks and the balance in general are and they just dont want to rock the balance boat, and im tired of overdosing on copium while waiting for significant balance changes.
ill be playing moth meta for a while
Am i crazy here or are these changes meh?
Ana’s nade nerf is pretty minor. I say this as an Ana main.
- Disappointed in how light they keep nerfing Hazard, he needs a heftier nerf.
- Disappointed by no Sojourn nerf, she’s busted and led to;
- Disappointed by Tracer buff (they’re going to end up nerfing Hazard and Sojourn because they are still too strong, then we’re left with too-strong Tracer who they’ll nerf…again, eventually.)
- Disappointed by Winston buff, he’s already strong, he just can’t compete with heroes like Hazard.
- Indifferent about Ramattra’s buff - as long as he doesn’t keep getting more for Nemesis, I don’t care.
- Disappointed by Echo’s buff - again, she’s underperforming because of Sojourn, buffing her damage isn’t going to make her do better against a busted Sojourn.
- Completely fine with the Ana nerf (it’s really mild).
- Happy with the Illari buff (half a second isn’t that huge, but still helpful).
- Fine with the Juno nerf (her ult is very powerful, I understand why they nerfed it. She’ll still be strong).
- Sad the 6v6 role queue is gone. I’m not interested in Min 1 Max 3 because it happened as I predicted - “get as many tanks as possible!!” is the strat. Why would you go DPS? Tanks are bigger DPS heroes, who have CC and sustain.
Overall - 2/10.
I really think this balance team is killing their own game. I dunno how they keep ignoring the playerbase. They buff heroes who “underperform” because the heroes they made busted overshadow them…
The Tracer buffs are hilarious. The Juno nerfs show that Blizzard hate us. Uh, it was pretty boring otherwise.
Some are mad, some are glad, the rest don’t bother caring lol
Yeah no soujorn nerf is wild, but like i said, they seem to think that the “perfect” balance is prety close to what they have and erryone else can see it aint it
Who is glad tho?tracer mains?ppl rooting for ow to die?
on par with just about any other patch (especially mid season patches)…i never understand what it is people expect to happen with these things
I feel like my expectations aren’t outrageous:
- Nerf overperforming heroes
- Make sure nerfs to overperforming heroes are actually effective and not just a slight reduction in how busted they are.
- Don’t buff heroes being overshadowed by other heroes (see #1 and see #2 for how to prevent that from happening).
The fact that they keep failing…
When they do nerf the op heroes a few seasons too late the heroes that were being overshadowed that got buffed then become op, rinse and repeat rotating the same handfull of heroes between op and op but there is something better
balance is always debated…i mean beyond that…theres always a sense that patches are never enough and i wonder just what exactly do people think should happen…
Latest patch notes are garbage. More Juno repression, and Hazard is the new guy so he just gets a token slap on the wrist. As if Hazard is going to save OW. Pfft
Absolute joke of a patch. Winston’s dive power isn’t as strong because of the increased health pools? Gee, I wonder who could’ve seen that coming.
I don’t disagree with anything you said except for that I’m fine with the Tracer buff. I do wish we had a D.Va buff though. It’s an underwhelming patch. Not good, not terrible, just meh.
I think most people expect heroes who are overperforming by such a wide margin don’t just get a minor slap on the wrist, if that…
I think that’s the baseline. Those patches usually get the ire of the internet.
What u mean?didnt they increase his dmg as well as most tanks when they changed the hp pools?
Nerfs in the wrong direction, buffs to characters who don’t need buffs, and finally a single Ana nerf to anti-nade.
Why they keep making tanks tankier is beyond me. Just make them actually threatening by giving them damage instead of making them unintimidating blocks of living health.
U think tanks aint doing enough dmg?wut
I thought I’d be playing OW2 more, but last time I played was for the initial 6v6 trial. I’m kind of good with the patch being tepid since I don’t feel like I have to split my time with it.
Figure in 6 months or so there’ll be enough new things (maybe) that coming back will be interesting. We’ll see.
They did, but they also nerfed his damage from the initial 75 down to 70. The point is that, obviously, increased hp pools were going to impact dive potential. Instead of rolling back those changes, though, they’ve chosen to buff Winston.
Developer Comment: Winston’s dive potential has been impacted by the increased health pools of enemies. By boosting the damage of the Tesla Cannon’s secondary fire and providing more ammo, this will allow Winston to follow up and finish off enemies without needing to reload as often.
More buffs or patches to under performing heroes like sym, reaper, junkrat and maybe venture would be nice.
Shakes things up a little more.
i be playing 6v6 with tanks how they should be. not returning to raid Boss tanks its disgusting and a disgrace.
