  • Fixed an issue that caused large FPS drops at the start and end of matches on PlayStation® 5 consoles.

Winston needed a nerf but armor as a whole is still too strong and they need to change it come midseason

To be honest, this doesn’t look like its ‘enough’, but at least the direction is right.
Except for one thing: Am I understanding this right, did they nerf Juno again? Please tell me I didn’t read that right.

Big oof from me. They hear people complaining about Sombra… and then do a meaningless change.

I swear there must be some Sombra Mains on the dev team. Anything to avoid actually doing a meaningful change to make lobbies not as miserable against her.

Like, idk, how about nerfing her near permanent invisibility for starters?

thats more of rework, i dont think they will do those in mid season patches, i dont think they will rework her in a while but thats what she needs.

This just seems like a quick numbers nerf where they can address more fundamental changes later on. Bigger kit changes need more time to cook and test.

It’s a solid change that nerfs her burst damage. Less braindead virus->smg burst->elim nonsense. which is enough to make her less common.

wasn’t expecting the Ashe nerf though, but i guess she is really good right now? /shrug

Balance changes

Winston

Tesla Cannon

  • Damage per second reduced from 75 to 70.

Ashe

The Viper

  • Reload per bullet increased from 0.2 to 0.25 seconds.
  • Primary fire damage reduced from 40 to 35.

Sombra

Virus

  • Damage over time reduced from 90 to 75.

Juno

Mediblaster

  • Fire rate increased from 14.3 to 15.5 (reverted to the 34 shots per second during the projectile volley).
  • Damage reduced from 8 to 7.5.
  • Healing reduced from 7 to 6.5.

I’m glad that virus was nerfed. S12 Sombra felt like S11 Pharah to me.

Sombra nerfs always welcome

Ashe nerf is good too

Juno tweaks are nice too, hopefully her gun won’t feel as clunky

She’ll have to reload more often, but before factoring in reloads, the DPS and HPS are essentially unchanged.

I don’t know her reload time off-hand so I’m not sure how much her sustained output changed.

This was actually really bad… Couldn’t just move till I got kicked out becuz it took me forever to even pick a character… such lag… lol… Will see if they actually fixed it… :wink:

explain how it nerfs the burst like I’m bad at math (which I am)? it kinda seems like a trade off.

The lack of DVA nerf is a bit odd though. Winston nerf made sense, but why not DVA nerf? odd.

DPS nerfs? for real now? Like for actual real? we nerfing dps? More? Again? HS do they want their game to die even faster.

She is good at like 0.1% for every other rank she’ll just throw harder. Unfortunate.
