This doesn’t always work. It often takes 1-2 min for the matchmaking to find someone to backfill for the leaver, which results in ruining the game experience to many people.
Also, backfilling is the most horrible experience one could encounter. No one wants to backfill for people who can’t handle maps / games modes they don’t like.
I don’t like Push and Escort in 5v5, yet I don’t leave games. To me, it’s a question of integrity in online gaming. We can’t like every aspect of a game. If one can’t take it, why even play in the end…? We have become too entitled and opinionated when it comes to literally any subject (gaming as well).
Oh, I must have missed that part or was that ironic ? If they found a way to protect people with connection issues, that would be perfect. However, I still think that people who have a bad connections on a regular basis shouldn’t be playing online games.
If a connection issue happens on rare occasions, that’s fine. It can happen to anyone, just like when you sometimes have a real life emergency (I once had to leave 'cause my dog was choking but it was like once in 7 years).
I agree. Overwatch players still have it easy compared to many other multiplayer games. Mild penalties but at least it’s something. I really hope this will improve the QP experience, especially for people like me who stopped playing Competitive but still like to play the game.
