Heās basically always been top 3 dps. Theyāve only ever nerfed him so he was a LITTLE OP instead of INSANELY OP. He gets slaps on the wrist which usually wind up getting reverted.
After playing it a bit more games. I still donāt like the Widow change. Feels like they didnāt do anything to tone down some hitscans. Zenyatta and Moira are still annoying, a little bit. I think I do prefer slower ttk afterall. Junkrat feels about the same. Illari is okay but not as good as other supports, at least the ultimate gets some kills.
Also, my sounds are messed up in this game since last patch idk, muffled steps and sounds. This might be a placebo or age but I find it harder to hear or discern certain things.
Until all but the DPS passive is reverted no patch will be anything other than garbage. Im not interested in giving them āin the right directionā praise.
Shocking how changing the health and as such ruining the breakpoints that have been designed and balanced around for nearly 8 years end up making the game a worse product.
I mean its 5v5 all over again, where not even 1/10th of the changes required to make this work were added. The last time they majorly altered the game like this (with 5v5) half of the community is still violently splintered over a year later now, and yet they dont learn their lesson and instead repeat the past.
Itās impossible to make every hero perform the same lolā¦ a hero will always be #1. (Read my post above)
Genji is far from the reason āthe game has poor balanceā lolā¦it just feels more awful to be killed by him than by most other heroes. Itās not a balance issue.
The goal should always be to get them as close as possible, not double down on making certain heroes OP.
The top heroes should change. It is bad for the games health if it is the same hero over and over and overā¦and over again.
The fact we have had the same handful of heroes at the top significantly out performing the rest of the roster for years is exceedingly bad.
Their refusal to balance the handful of heroes that are constantly at the top (Genji being one of them) IS.
That is because his kit is significantly over tuned and they have removed most all counter play against him in order to keep him at the top. It means there is less skill required to get the kills and often little the enemy can do to stop them.
That goal is more achievable at casual level and Genji is just fine there lolā¦ Blizzard also didnāt ādouble downā on Genji. He got global buffs not individual buffs.
It actually doesnāt matter what the top heroes are as long as every hero is viable at casual level, and they mostly are.
Maybe he isnāt the balance problem you think he is, according to their data lolā¦
Like I said, if they have data that he is op, then he would be nerfed.
Curious nobody at the top thinks Genji is overtuned and has no counterplays lolā¦ not one tank player, not one support player, not one dps player who isnāt a Genji main/1trick.
Looks like a hotfix rather than a true balance patch imo.
Beside Zarya and Zen, not sure this patch would change a lot of things.
Yet I hate to read that projectiles has 2 different sizes now. Like, thereās a base size and an actual size ? Iām not sure I understand the purpose of doing things this way instead of adjusting one size variable instead of 2.
