Patch lag 45ms latency game seems completely different

went on vacation for 2 weeks nothing changed but when i updated OW i find it has average 42-45 ms latency as well as 20 dropped frames randomly… aiming etc feels completely different almost unplayable, anyone else experiencing this? Tried resetting all options etc but still feels like my mouse is struggling to hit targets

yep it’s noticeably worse as some have pointed out.

I wonder if they just proxy us on some of those in-game metrics. you see 42ms and it tells you ord1, but that’s just a hop and you’re actually playing on lax1 because no1 plays and they just save on hosting by consolidating every1 to lax1 for the streamers.

yes that could be part of the inclusion tech (dynamic difficulty adjustment, DDA). They want bads with 10 hours to have a chance against goods with 1000 hours, even when the MM screws up or was spoofed (by smurfs or alts who 180 their effort).

The DDA scales the regs, hitboxes, aim-assist, (or resist if you’re a mercy that needs help evading noobstomping hitscan). The servers throttle your I/O and decide to favour the over/under performers for closer matches.

I know it sounds ridiculous, but they have a patent or three for literally that kind of rigging.

Dang here I was thinking I’m the only one. Ever since this crossover event, server latency has been GARBAGE. My individual ping is usually between 5-12ms while the servers themselves are 45ms ON A GOOD DAY. I had another night when it was fluctuating up to 100ms.

What is going on??

This is when it REALLY became noticeable. I first saw it in bronze a few times (likely rank to throw in all kinds of inclusion and accessibility tech to help and protecting the weak from pubstomping predators etc).

But in crossplay lobbies it’s extremely obvious. The entire lobby feels fake if there is even just 1-2 controller users. Moments of WTF??? back and forth, almost like the consoles use different netcode protocols (probably awful compared to PC) and things have to clunk around and wait for their i/o to process.

Just leave those matches honestly.

This game is AWFUL in performance issues.

I wish they would address the game’s issues right away.

I ) First and foremost, as PC players we need the ability to OPT OUT of Cross play. The limited tickrate issues with this game is absurd when we are FORCED to play on Crossplay.

II ) The Game’s performance engine is TERRIBLE. i have ALL of my settings turned down to the MINIMUM and the game still runs AWFUL now.

III ) The Audio for this game is just outright gross. Its like they stuck a microphone in a Coffee can and recorded sound effects by highly UN-TRAINED Foley Artists that dropped out of CAL ARTS.

IV ) The lag and latency is BAD.

Game is garbage. DDA or Latency problems or both rigged to the max. I am the best i have ever been in Kovaaks but overwatch is unplayable. My aim is throttled.

Open kovaaks or any game and compare it to OW2 side by side. See the difference.

Any paid youtube shill willing to ask devs to explain the above patents?
