After all the talk about what is and isn’t a rip off, a ton of former Overwatch streamers look to have jumped ship to that stupid battle royale mod.
I can’t really blame them; Hanzo and Brigitte have done a ton of damage and soon Symmetra will make the game even more unplayable.

If anything, this is a lesson that when facing a stronger opponent, sometimes you can hang back and let them punch themselves out.

Streams are a fraction of a percent of the total OW player base though. They will also often change up games they play because they are bored or their watchers want something new as well.

I’m not sure how those 3 heroes make the game unplayable either.

Radical heights was also up there for a day or two. Those streamers jump to what’s new, that’s about it. They will probably return to fortnite soon.

Twitch streamers aren’t “jumping ship.” They’re just chasing the new trend.

You see it all the time if you watch twitch streams. Remember Radical Heights? It was a awful battle royale game that was being played by huge streamers such as Dr. Disrespect.

Needless to say the company who made the game is bankrupt and is shutting down the game soon.

Streamers just chase the new stuff. New hyped game comes out, streamers stream it for a short period of time and move back to the typical stuff they stream.

Time will tell whether Paladins can keep the audience. The popularity might just be superficial.

Realm Royale has pretty much nothing to do with Paladins other than the art style and is a bad pubg clone as well.

We complained about things that never dies (Mercy’s meta, quad tanks)
We complained about Hanzo and Sym doing too much damage

Battle Royale is the worst fad to hit gaming in a long time. Literally every single one of them plays exactly alike and they’re all boring, at best. The worst part is that games with strong PVE potential like H1Z1 and Fortnite are being completely abandoned in favor of their BR counterparts. I would never support another Battle Royale game because of this and in hopes that the whole genre goes away.

I don’t understand it. Battle royale games (Fortnite espcially) are almost entirely RNG-based. They’re more about luck and getting the right weapon drops than they are about skill. I find them boring, while Overwatch is much more interesting to me, because of the way the characters interact.

I know. Away from her bug her dmg is fine as a close-range-dps hero with no ability to disengage mid-fights.

Completely agree. It is the exact same stupid thing over and over again and everyone is trying to cash on it.
Maybe if the market gets flooded with enough of these, ppl will finally move to something else.
