Match starts in 15 minutes, but I must go to bed earlier than normal as the American holiday disrupts my daytime schedule a bit.

On to the matches at hand! Seoul vs. Guangzhou is likely going to prove to be a one-sided affair. I’m calling 3-1 in favor of the Seoul Dynasty. As for the other match, I think the Shanghai Dragons take that one 3-2 over the Fusion.

The Seoul Dynasty should lock up a spot in the Summer Showdown after posting a 3-1 record with a +3 map differential. For the Charge, I’m afraid, it’s back to the drawing board as they prepare for the Countdown Cup.

Now, we move on to arguably the APAC Match of the Week, the Philadelphia Fusion against the Shanghai Dragons. Let’s get ready to rumble!

The Dynasty with the reverse sweep.

No idea why the Charge would go with Doomfist and Genji in the last map. The inconsistency of both of those heroes cost them the game.

Well, the Fusion are making things interesting, but the Dragons are one map win away from taking the match and getting that much closer to the top playoff seed.

The Shanghai Dragons get a 2-0 week and are that much closer to the top APAC playoff seed. For the Fusion, I’m afraid, they now find themselves on the wrong side of the Knockout cutline entering the final week of qualifiers.

A brief look at the APAC Summer Showdown standings (updated through Week 2):

The Shanghai Dragons just need a decent week in front of their home crowd next week to make the Summer Showdown Knockouts. For the Guangzhou Charge, I’m afraid, it’s back to the drawing board as they attempt to salvage their season in the Countdown Cup.
