Judging by your way of typing, i’d say i’m most likely almost twice your age.
GG has been said post match in competitive games for decades, and has always been used as a sign of good sportsmanship for both sides.
I’ve used it even when i’ve lost games, just like i’ve used it when winning games.
What? You want us all to say ‘OMG I LOVE YOU ALL! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE GAME!’ instead? Come on now… GG is quicker and everyone understands it, unless they were born into this… Horrid woke generation…
Yeah I know that but afaik the korean ow community is much more strict/sensitive against smurfing/boosting and treating them like they’re real match-fixing criminals.(They also heavily criticize OWL that some known boosters/smurfs play there) Idk korean pros perhaps do that secretly but they won’t do that so openly like the EU/NA streamers.
Yes and the point you are missing is that if actions are automated, you can simply just false report and get people banned. Which seems to be what you are doing quite a lot.
The problem with these stupid “experiments” is they don’t mimic reality. No one in a regular situation is going to get a FLOOD of reports unless they are being human garbage to everyone around them.
If you’re generating 4+ reports a game from RANDOM PEOPLE. You’ve very likely done something to deserve it. Stop going out of your way to piss everyone off around you.
I have had this happen, in a match - 30 seconds or so after reporting someone for cheating. I assume this individual met their threshold for cheating reports at that time.
How is he smurfing if it’s an alt account where he plays normally? He’s top 10 on it. It’s not like he’s intentionally keeping it low ELO by throwing games etc.
Smurfing/boosting. He could be boosting someone and thats why he got reported, many people just report for the sake of it. Would not be the first pro busted for doing boosting business but who knows
I don’t know if that’s enough of a “good” explanation.
If anything, it lacks transparency and can lead certain users to conspiracy theories :p… (if bans can never be discussed or justified by those who have the power to banning players).
Also, people won’t learn from their mistake (or know what softwares sometimes accidentally got them banned). I’ve been told there are lots of “side” softwares that can be considered as cheating on certain games while being completely allowed on others (sometimes even audio softwares that trigger some anti-cheat programs).
For instance, Riot Games Vanguard anti-cheat program sometimes acts all nuts after a simple Windows update and blocks a few irrelevant files on your computer (I’m currently experiencing this with some “AVoluteSS3Vad.sys” file that is blocked whenever I launch Valorant). Technology is not always 100% reliable / trustworthy.
I believe there are a lot of people that got wronfully banned without them ever finding out the reason of said ban. I’m not even sure Activision / Blizzard really look into the details and just blindly trust their anti-cheat system without making proper research when someone tries to appeal a ban (according to a lot of people, they won’t even discuss it with you - they simply send some automated message).
To me, that lacks professionalism (but that’s just my opinion). Let’s not forget that we are clients before being players (and we have rights too).
