The Shock will either finish 3rd or 4th in the CC Knockouts (for those of you paying attention, a 4th place finish will ensure the Shock’s path to Hawaii runs through Atlanta, who are without their main DPS player at the moment).

It’s all going to be about positioning. We know that the Houston Outlaws cannot finish better than 5th overall, and can drop to 6th if some unlikely (but possible) scenarios play out. It is possible the Top 3 seeds in the West won’t be decided until the Countdown Cup Grand Finals in Hawaii!
For now, though, that’s all she wrote for the regular season. While 5 teams start their offseason early, 15 teams are still fighting for the postseason. That postseason (to a degree) kicks off tomorrow morning at 2am Pacific (5am Eastern) with the Countdown Cup Knockouts for the APAC region. Will the NYXL run out of hopium?
