OWL caster Semmler leaving full time broadcast staff

Not full time doesn’t exclude stepping in for a local game or two, but doesn’t imply it either.

Veteran caster ZP, who is finally joining this year, was essentially shoved out of OWL and his old casting duo to make space for Semmler, who was put straight into OWL instead of practicing in contenders, with resultingly bad early season 1 casts. Considering all the things Blizz pulled to get this guy in, only to have him leave now, does not bode well for the league imo.

Other recent departures include Monte(citing league leadership), DoA(citing the freedom of freelance work), and Puckett(citing family).

He would have never agreed to cast contenders. He is a big deal and well liked in csgo community.

Wow. Watching Monte, Doa and Semmler leaving OWL before even the season starts…

A lot of people freaking out right now, but judgement should really be reserved for when the broadcasting team is announced.

If we lose Uber I’m out :sob:

I didn’t care for any of these casters so it’s no loss for me. As long as Wolf/Achilles UberX are there I’m happy Zp finally coming in is awesome.

Doesn’t really matter. There’s a million people lined up wanting their jobs. So don’t think these casters are irreplaceable.

Who isn’t leaving? It’s like everyone is going.

People recognize when a ship is sinking.

Said it before and I’ll say it again, for OW the game to live OWL needs to die.
