OWL Backlash for OW2?

The OWL is the main marketing for Overwatch and cutting the Tank role when teams understand how important it is could be a issue.

People worked really hard for years to go Pro only to lose their jobs when their skillset is bespoke to this game.

Those are someone’s teammates, and while I don’t expect all of OWL to protest, could there be fallout because of this decision?

Idk,problem is OW has A LOT of core design issues and problems. And devs use a lot of their time to experiment and experiment with almost all the new things and thus make really slow progress.

What kind of Core design problems specifically?

And I can’t really speak on their progress speed given everything since 2020 until now, I don’t know what it’s like to make a this game but it’s their literal job, I don’t assume they’re going slow.

Im guessing there will be new teams by the time going and that there will be time between OW1 and 2 to prepare. I think many new investors would want to try themselves out in the new environment.

The tank players are upset.

The team owners are not.

This makes their roster smaller and cuts down on player salary budgets.

Tanks, double barrier took very long to nerf and ruined a lot of heroes for casual players just because of OWL.Moth meta lasted for a while too. They HAD to implement role lock to “fix” goats instead of disabling brig.

Brig and Sigma really ruined the game forever.

2cp,useless heroes,bad maps,unfun heroes and abilities,smurfs

True facts. Because of the roster cuts I wonder will other players leave their teams or retire all together.

An expansion is certainly possible, but with how much money the franchises have lost and reports of owners trying to sell their teams I’m not sure and expansion is on the horizon unless is financially made sense.

Some of what you said felt like valid complaints instead of Core issues LOL.
They fixed Goats by adding 2-2-2 and nerfed brig to the ground etc.

Owl balancing of heroes isn’t my favorite thing in the world but I rather they balance off of Pros instead of Golds.
