one less tank to contest her, less tank to augment sighlines, and a more mobile and more tanky widow. blizzard thought that was a good idea, lets let dps have a hero that cant be contested by literally anyone else on the roster and say its ok because “aiming hard”
“just play cover” youre right I should just find a corner and sit there and hope my tank is playing something mobile I should never try to take a rotation I should find a door way sit there and let myself be spammed out by the other dps so engaging
Eh. I found it much more of a Sojourn/Ana diff back when I played. Ana is completely unjustifiably busted. Any Genji, smart Lucio, or Winston completely shuts down Widow unless she’s got a Mercy on her butt.
Widow was a non-factor if there was a Sojourn in play. If they were on the same team, she killed everything before the Widow could get into position. And if they were opposed, Sojourn easily deleted the Widow.
Didn’t see many Widows after the first few days of the beta, and it wasn’t because of the tank, because everyone was playing Junker Queen.
I would just dive her across the map with Doomfist which usually forces her to retreat. His mobility is practically omnipotent with the punch+slam combos launching him across the map near instantly while he has am absorb ability as well.

Never said they were the same. Was just saying Sojourn was so OP in the beta that Widow was unnecessary and not a threat by comparison.
You lucky so-and-so. Personally I saw Sojourns paired with a Widow a fair amount; not just on Circuit but it seemed much more likely on that map. Soj+Widow is my least favourite DPS combo to go up against by a country mile.
Can’t wait to play against m&k Widow/Sojourn in my comp games.
Yeah, saw a lot of Sojourn paired with a Tracer or Genji. Even on Circuit Royale. Ashe appear there a lot, though.

I dislike Widow a lot but Sojourn is somehow definitely more annoying than her.
See, if it was one-shot for headshots only, then I’d be okay, given that she’s an “aim-intensive” hero.
Then again, I kinda wish they played more into her mobility rather than powerful railgun.
Honestly I didn’t see widow that much, and with the way the game is now you can afford to have someone flank her, and with the maps the way they are now it’s easier to have a team decide to move together or assume cover.
The problem is Team play and people failing to understand literally the most integral part of OW
She is just “The coolor Soldier” I guess
all heroes have (theoretically) infinite range (except those with curved trajectories).
Ana (and also Soujorn) has a higher range since they don’t have dmg falloff.
Soujorn even has a projectile hitbox on the railgun shot (0.1m radius) Widow has no hitbox at all.
8 seconds Grapple CD. It would be nice, but apparently you live in 2018. Since 2019 it’s back to the original 12 seconds.
Except for her overall weak kit.

- an ult that brings info, but is not a game changer in a teamfight.
- a laughable primary weapon with a damn 3° spread and mediocre dmg. (Tracer has 3.8 on two weapons)
the only good thing she has that makes her usable is her oneshot.
Ironically enough, a lot of people find her bland, in terms of character and design.
She doesn’t really have anything to make her standout among the roster besides her kit. Especially given that atrocious “origin story.”
