Not make it even worse. There is a disproportionate power given to the tanks with the highest damage output, survivability, offense, defense, pressure, ultimates, etc all rolled up into 1 role. Why? The game shouldn’t revolve around which team has the better tank player, it’s supposed to be a team game.
Zarya, Orisa, Dva, Sigma and Rein are basically impossible to kill and they can get kills easily on their own. The icing on the cake was hearing the dev team that the game is in a good place balance wise, while there are 3-4 tank heroes that are playing a completely different game where they get to be raid bosses that can just ignore damage and go on killstreaks.
It doesn’t tho? While good tanks can certainly swing things… deleting the enemy support before they delete yours is still the biggest deciding factor in most fights.
People complaining about sombra and genji (rightfully so) when Zayra is out here in another tier of broken. Revert the shield charge change so she cant perma bubble herself. Cannot believe how bad the balance is in this game.
I dont get why tanks need to be super powerful anyways, its not like youre taking that one
“super powered tank” to a fight in which the enemy team has 2 OW1 tanks, so what is it for?
The changes that gave niche tanks more versatility were needed, but we didnt need these massive damage and health buffs.
they dont, they just stay in combat longer and make it seem like they deal more damages. other than maybe a fully charged zarya, no tank have higher damages output than a damage hero
What does that have to do with the fact that tanks do completely broken damage and can easily delete people on their own without any support, while basically being unkillable?
All that damage is going towards kills, i.e. tanks are flat out superior than DPS at doing the damage role.
God forbid you play any mode that doesn’t restrict roles to 1 tank. Because in a game balanced around 1 tank per team…
something like No Limits or Mayhem is going to see 3 or 4 tanks to a team on a regular basis, and heck, who actually needs DPS when certain tanks pump out more damage than the DPS and who needs healers when some tanks have shields and bubbles and self-healing enough to take care of themselves?
I haven’t even tried Deathmatch in OW2 but if Hog was OP before…
Almost every DPS has a higher potential damage output than any Tank hero does.
Why are you 1v1’ing a Tank? That should have never been a thing you could get away with in OW1, and it’s good you can’t get away with it now.
If they’re not getting support but you are, you’ll still win that engagement, or at least force them to leave you. And if you got caught in a 1v1 against a Tank with no support to help you, you made a mistake, and you deserve to die there.
That’s where you’re wrong. A tank can win 2v1’s quite easily with all the buffs they recieved, especially mega-high damage tanks like Zarya/Orisa/Rein that can just mindlessly zerg forward and delete people even if they’re being healed. I’m sorry but there is no excusing tanks having better damage output than DPS heroes.
