Still have Hawkeye unfortunately. Guy does like 400 damage with a headshot currently.
But at least their widow isn’t usually a major problem.
Overwatch would benefit from the same.

Good thing Hawkeye might be less painful to be dealt with, depending on how seasonal buffs work in the future

They also have hero bans where he’s just banned anyway and isn’t really allowed to see play in higher ranks 
So it’s not like they have to rush to fix him right now, the problem is mostly negated through that. Unlike with OW…

I guess they are going to have to start allowing like 50 hero bans per game or something then, lol
But, I guess good for the few people that get to the level where hero bans exist, and bad for everyone else?

Why are they? 
There’s barely any heroes on the same level as Hawkeye - the only other really noticeable one is Hela…and they’re usually just banned anyway. There’s still heroes that are stronger of course, but not the same extent and they’re usually rotated in and out of the other ban slots to allow more variety. If we didn’t have hero banks, you would probably just see Hela/Hawkeye at high ranks all the time.
I haven’t been able to play this game nowhere near as much as I like, unfortunately, so I’m still low rank and I’m not able to use hero bans at the moment myself, so I still play with low rank players. In my own experience I’ve barely seen Hawkeye at all and even when I have most of the players have no idea what they’re doing so he’s nowhere near as much of a problem as he would be in high ranks where players can actually aim consistently.
Can there be some frustrations? Probably. But nothing to scream about in low ranks right now.
Now we just wait to see if they actually nerf him or not - if they don’t then I’ll be surprised.
lol maybe that’s true. I guess everyone that uses hawkeye ranks up to where he gets banned. That’s kind of funny, never really thought about it.
Follow up question, why don’t you just play hawkeye?
Someday Blizzard will realise that not a single soul enjoys the match when Widow is played.
But today is not that day.

Even if that were true, they’d just drop straight back out because they can’t play any other hero at that level so they’d never be able to maintain it. But there’s no evidence that’s even happening unless there’s been some data released to show that? Can’t say I’ve looked.
Not really a hero that interests me to play, I just personally don’t find him fun. If he was nerfed not to be stupid I still wouldn’t play him.
That also only applies to higher ranked comp. Anyone in most ranks or unranked has to deal with broken heroes. I mean they haven’t had a patch yet to my knowledge, it’s still new. But having 2 bans in limited areas doesn’t really fix things.
Well, your claim is that those characters are not a problem in lower ranks because you never see them in lower ranks…
It doesn’t take a genius to put 2 and 2 together. You don’t see them in lower ranks because people that use them rank up. (I WOULD THINK)
I don’t even play the game so I don’t really know, but, saying “character bans exist at higher ranks so who cares about every other rank being unbalanced,” is not really a great argument.
They really are problems at lower ranks. They get good results for less effort. It’s especially bad at the high plat fringe area before you get to Diamond when you can start banning because people there are salivating at the chance to break out of plat, so they’ll use what’s effective to get there.

That’s the thing though - losing the seasonal buff won’t change how he plays. He’ll still one shot the cast outside vanguard.

Jeff survives … 
he has 1.5x hs instead of 2x like other heroes . Jeff the beer is a good pick if you really hate hawkeye, until you hit diamond and then he just gets banned anyhow.
Its so incredibly refreshing knowing that a problem hero is really not tearing up every game and making things miserable.

Picks and bans is seriously one of the best things. Overwatch would be so much better with it.

We’ve been waiting over 8 years.
They also think Baptiste caused uwu fatigue cause baby’s first recoil was too much so they buffed him. I’m not…exactly hopeful they’ll ever properly shove her in the dumpster.

In other words, blizzard is actually trying to balance and make every character fun and usable in every rank, while Netease says they don’t care and would rather just push out new characters so they can sell more skins.
