OW2 has often even less viewers then OW1 had in his final months (which were probably the most miserable months OW1 ever had)
Idk seems kinda like Blizzard is failing it big time again…
maybe if they give away another skin from OW1 (which probably almost everyone who played OW1 already has but whatever) for watching some hours will boost the viewercount again for like 1-2weeks…
Are you what they call a viewcount andy?
I mean, if people aren’t watching it when there’s an event going, that’s kind of a problem. OW2 just doesn’t seem to have the same magic that OW1 did, largely because it feels like Blizzard doesn’t care about the game in much the same way late-stage OW1 felt abandoned.
For all that OW2 was promoted as a big change in how the game would be handled, it sure feels exactly like it did in June of 2022. We get just as much dev communication, the same number of balance patches per month, and for that privilege we have an extremely aggressive cash shop that feels like it’s the only thing they’ve actually spent any time on in the last six months.
It was also 5:46 AM on the west coast when the post was created. Hope this image helps you out OP. Red lines denote Activision Blizzard titles.
Lol Blizzard says: We have 60 MILLION ACTIVE players… Lost Ark has 2M [maybe not even that many] but has more viewers lol xD
80% of Lost Ark’s western population are actually bots. Lost Ark is also a different genre of game.
If 80% of 2 million are bots, that’s even worse for Blizzard. Because Blizzard says Overwatch has 60 MILLION ACTIVE players and Lost Ark has 2 million, of which you say 80% are bots…
[i think 80% it’s too much i see many normal players but 40-50% it’s probably yes] but still 60m players vs 2m players but overwatch still has less viewers
Its been very low even when all the “big Ow streamers” are live… i guess you can call me a viewcount andy but Im just here posting about it to see what other people think why that is…
So i guess your argument would be that its because of the time im posting this which is a fair argument but yeah im talking about the viewercount in general and not just for rn
With how most people play Overwatch, you could make this argument for 95% of OW’s population.
To paraphrase sodapoppin, Overwatch is a game to kill your channel.
I am starting to worry too.
All im saying is that i feel like its become like the final months of OW1 again with a now “NEW Game” with insane advertisement and even actual new content (sometimes) but it still seems like the game is already lost all interest and “hype” it had and now seems to do equally if not worse then OW1 which didnt get any real content for years
OW is inherently awful to watch I think. Its not really the game we watch but the streamers who stream it that make it bearable. OW streamers are not all that great either TBH.
Every OW2 Stan was harping on about the high view counts during beta. Y’all reap what you sew.
Just wait a bit. They’ll probably have a twitch drop for the upcoming lunar new year.
It’s a painfully boring season in a game with a **** matchmaker.
This game is just not that fun to watch. Especially with OQ, MH, or Arcade modes playing as Tank Watch waiting on the Ult War.
If people are playing, they’re probably not watching.
I’m going to have to disagree with the assessment. View counts are consistently much higher than they were at the end of OW1, and often close to what they were around Season 12. I thought they would drop off a lot more with the general reception its received by those around me, but they seem to still be doing alright. That’s my personal view though. I’m sure the data is out there somewhere.
Edit: Yeah, it looks like although OW2 has dropped from its initial bump, it’s still well above where OW1 was in the last year of its life.
Better give out some new skins for the afkers if they want to make people believe anyone is still playing.
