Hello,
I installed OW2 yesterday and I could see the whole screen blinking and flickering very similar to those 2 videos in here:
I read about activating Vsync, use windowed mode, clean some shading cache, get newer drivers, nothing actually solved the issue. Only way to solve it was to disable SLI on my GTX 1080.
This issue has being happening to me on OW1 for a while, but only on selection screen and mostly on the hair of some characters. So I just ignored the issue for years, but on OW2 it is the whole screen, and makes the game unplayable.
I am not sending this message to ask for a solution for myself, but as a feedback for the devs to try to fix this issue on future versions.

Hey, I’m glad I found your post. I have the same exact situation although I have 2 2080 Super cards in SLI. I have been getting flickering in OW1 in some screens, it seems to happen especially when there’s a certain character skin being showcased. The Mercy Mage one was the most recent one I can think of.
But playing OW2 it was impossible for me. The flickering in game was so bad that I felt nauseous. I started to get really bad like at the hour mark. I was streaming at the time so I had to end stream, turn off SLI and then get stream back on. Also, I noticed that when in-game the character you’re playing, the picture of them on bottom left would overlap with other characters pictures; it was weird seeing a Zariya - Lucio combo. I do hope for a fix of this because I enjoy playing this game at high resolutions and with all settings on maximum (these games are really pretty). One more thing to me soon is that my stream was completely fine it didn’t have a studder/flicker.
Edit:
Here’s a video I took with my phone of the monitor:

You have to disable sli, i had same issue and it fixed it after i disabled it. I get simular performance on the beta without sli anyway think its not optimised very well for it
2x GTX 980 here.
Alt-Tab out and back in seems to fix most of the flickering. Portrait still flickers but much better
2x GTX 980s here. I forced alternate frame rendering and i had no issues.

now the game is out, still have the same issue, I didn’t even get this issue in the beta, and now I have it, there are lots of games don’t support sli, this is the first time I see this issue, they didn’t even fix this issue in almost 6 mouth, I can’t believe it
I managed to fix it for me, see if it works for you too:
go to Nvidia control panel → manage 3d settings → program settings → select overwatch 2 → scroll down to SLI rendering mode and select single-GPU

yeah i had the same problem, after doing as told, the problem was fixed. Thanks dude
There is no need to disable SLI, setting it to “Force alternate frame rendering 2” in NVIDIA Panel for Overwatch.exe fixes the issue, at least for me on 2x970.
Alt-Enter to go off full-screen and then back, also mostly fixes it for the match, but needs to be done again on the next one.

rm7 is correct. It fixed my issue!
Here is the specifics if you are struggling to find that setting:
I went to the nVidia Control Panel, under select a task - Manage 3D settings: Select the Program Settings Tab.
Under 1. Select a program to customize, switch it to Overwatch 2.
Under 2. Specify the settings for this program, scroll down to SLI rendering mode. Change this to Force alternate frame rendering 2.
