Role queue is not allowing a group of two players to queue as DPS or Support together. When one player selects a role, for the other player it shows a lock symbol and does not let the second person select the same role.

Same for my group as well. Roles are getting completely locked regardless of rating after the 1st person chooses. It is entirely random If I choose DPS then it will lock my partner to Healer and sometimes it will lock them to only being able to que tank. We are both at the same rating

Same thing is currently happening with my group. It is not possible for us to select 2 of the same role while being 3. We have not tested it with 4 players or anything, but if this is intentional it really is a bummer

We are facing the same issue. We wait for 10min until the search gives up and chucks us into entirely unbalanced games and then we do not get to play what we would actually want. How is this not the opposite of what role queue should be and how can it be so hard to find some fun games for us while this game presumably has the highest player count it has experienced in years?
Once again OW makes it not a fun activity to try and play some games with friends.

Same here for us, we aren’t allowed to play the roles we wan’t. its awful and i can’t play with friends. I hope this is a bug.

I am also having the same issue. We are grouped as a duo and it only lets me select support even if my partner hasnt selected.

Happening in our group as well. We can not select our desired roles, it just randomizes not matter what we pick.

Same problem here.
But it’s something that more likely happens in groups of 4 or 5. We didn’t have that much problems in playing in a group of 3.
Flex queue also doesn’t pick everything.
Eg: Our dps couldn’t choose dps per se. If we all tried flex, it doesn’t pick up dps and only shows tank and support for him.

This is happening to me in competitive when queuing alone and when queuing with group. Does seem to be completely random, super irritating

Same here soo frustrating without any explanation either if you’re going to lock something at least tell the players why! Still doesn’t make sense for them to do this in a “competitive” game mode to not allow people to use their best roles! So lame really feel like they failed their true fans that are actually trying to play ranked get through the 50 wins to play to have your role LOCKED after a few wins. Why ? I really expect some explanation that makes sense.
