OW2 rank not updating

The rank system is broken I win more games then lose even when I lose I perform best in my team when I win 7 games and lose 2-5 games I stay the same rank? Blizzard said they fixed it with the MMR boost but they vanished even when I performed better then most my team? Can we just get back visible SR so I can tell if I’m doing bad or not?

I have the same issue I am not the greatest player but i have played 163 games total as support and won 70 games and my rank has remained bronze 5.

I opened a ticket and got a generic replay and sent here to forums. I dont hold much hope of getting it fixed if that is how support is going to deal with tickets.

Mate, you lost 93 games. You are deep into the negative zone.
You are not ranking up because you are actually deranking with this W-L ratio.

could be and fair call but recently i have won more than i have loss. i started off very poorly and have improved. But i hear what your saying.

I mean if you look at the leader boards there is a person in plat 3 with 314 games played and 157 won so if you look at ratio by your comment they should not be plat 3.

Keep in mind that if you where placed on Bronze 5, then deranked, and later you started to win more games, you may have to go up a whole rank before you start to see any change.

What I mean by this is the following.
Bronze 5 encapsulates SR 1 to 1099.
If you went down to 600, lets say, you would need 500 SR to get out of Bronze 5 (500SR is a whole rank, 5 divisions). And keeping in mind that a loss almost nullifies a win, climbing without win streaks is a really slow process.
Why does the system works like this? Because Blizzard couldn’t be bothered to add ranks below Bronze. There is place to add two more ranks, 1 to 499 and 500 to 999, but they instead decided to encapsulate everyone into one division.
Even LoL has one below Bronze, Iron.

If you are a new player, what I mean by SR is your numeric rank value, now hidden from view.
Silver encapsulated all values from 1500 to 1999 SR. Now you have divisions every 100SR.

157 is exactly 314/2. After so many games, what it tells me that ratio is that that player reached his rank.

So i can queue with my mate who is Gold 5 yet it still says im Bronze 5. Should that be allowed?

It should yes, but by a thread.

Bronze 5 is 1 - 1099
Gold 5 is 2000 - 2099

As long as the difference is less than 1000, you can group up and play comp. Like if you are 1050 (B5) and your friend is 2010 (G5).
That was how it worked before, and I’m sure it still works like this because I have seen steamers being unable to keep playing together without having a ‘your current rank is…’ screen.

If your friend goes up to Gold 4 and you stay on Bronze 5, then you shouldn’t be able to keep playing together.
Or if you lose like 5 games in a row while your friend isn’t playing comp.
