OW2 Performance

I would like to kindly say a sarcastic “Thank You” for deleting OW1 and releasing this unfinished piece of complete rubbish. Your launch went horrible, all you care is about our streamers so they would bring more new people in who would pay for your money grabbing battle pass, your performance is horrible, ow1 running at 250fps and this rubbish barely pushing 100?? It’s perfectly playable, but I can’t imagine how many other people will be lost. You went from a small indie company to a money-grabbing joke. Thanks

Fps isn’t the main issue here

I could run OW1 just fine, but this game constantly like almost unplayable at all low settings frame drop after frame drop my screen will freeze usually during a team fight + all the other bugs I hate blizzard so much

I’m suffering the same. Its sitting at a constant 140fps and goes mega crappy left and right…

Same here. God help me my graphics card is a bit better than the minimum recommended specs, but ow1 was always fine. Not a single freeze nor an fps drop for years on my crap gaming laptop. Then boom. Ow2 has frozen more than six times so far. No major fps struggles with low settings, but damn, those random freezes are rough. Got so many penalties for something that’s not even my fault. Disappointing :d

Never had an issue with an RX 5700 XT, Ryzen 7 3700X, 32GB DDR4-3600MHz and 240Hz FHD Display.

In fact, OW2 would run at 240Hz with higher quality settings than OW1, so I do feel like they have shifted some of the load away from CPU and onto the GPU, which is probably why some people are seeing worse performance - particularly those on Laptops.

It would be more useful if people could their CPU, GPU, RAM and Display Specs.

Saying you’re “getting bad performance” is not useful feedback unless you give the technical information we need to juxtapose your experience against.

On Ultra with FSR Enabled, my card was running OW2 without issues at 240Hz @ FHD. I cannot imagine it being worse now than it was in the Beta. I never got any frame drops, hitching, or anything.

In OW1, I had to run Medium/High otherwise team fights would start dropping frames left and right.

I think a lot of these issues are down to people’s hardware specs. System requirements increasing is normal in games. As hardware gets better, software evolves to make use of that power.

Changes in the engine may be exposing people’s weaker GPUs, when OW1 would otherwise allow them to skimp along due to the CPU they have.

I’m not surprised. We’re having major technical issues and it’s a new rollout. I’d suggest both waiting until the current major issue is resolved as well as driver updates, and an update to the game which is more than likely.

For the brief time I got on I was fine
