Basically, for the uninformed, OW runs at 30 fps with dips to like 25 on switch.
Since cross progression is going to exist and it’s going to be f2p, I imagine a lot more people will be wanting to play on switch. Letting us customize the settings or at least adding “performance” and “quality modes” would go a long way to making the game more playable!
But there are A LOT of settings that can be lowered still, namely render resolution. So I beg you, please let us lower the settings and increase our frame rate a bit!

I wish they would have atleast given Switch players some information by now. Even if Switch players just prioritize Switch only lobbies.

I didn’t know you were a switch player, that’s where I started playing OW back in 2020.
Its surprising that OW ever came out on switch. Its such a weak console and 60 FPS are minimum to play a shooter. Everything below is just limiting your capabilities. And OW2? Oh boy…

I started on PS in 2016, then bought on Switch in 2019 and now switch back and forth between PS4, Switch, and Xbox Series depending on which TV in my home is available. I have a 120 fps monitor in my work area, my PS4 is in my loft, and Switch in my bedroom playing while getting ready for bed. Thank you Overwatch for going f2p because the first thing that came to my mind was now no more paying to play online on any of the consoles.
@History Never understood why this bothers other people so much? Why does it matter what other people choose to play on to you? Maybe i enjoy not being tethered to my home just to play a game. Maybe road trips feel alot better with Switch than say a home console that is completely useless once i leave my home. Maybe just playing outside on my porch feels better when my daughter wants to play on her trampoline or ride her bike, kind of hard to watch her with a Xbox.
Are there different settings presets?
Like Low, Medium, High, Ultra…?
The system is too weak to even play the game on a normal level on it seemingly even on low graphics. It was a questionable move from blizzard. I am sure the framework on switch does not really support the minimum requirements.
While I find it respectable to play a game on a weak machine I dont really understand why people complain about that it does not function correctly. Especially with cross play this can be a menece for team mates and this is not because of the skill of the player than rather the limitations of their set up.
Its one thing to play on an old PC that is weak and another to bring a game out to a system that does even provide enough power to play it on a normal level.
I have over 130 hours on the switch… it’s not that bad
Ppl talking about these 30 fps, but like I only have issues when docked and
internet on my switch.
All I hear is that OW1 does barely run with 30 FPS on the console. 60 FPS are the norm or SHOULD be reached to not get in a disadvantage. I would surprise me if OW2 runs better than OW1 on the system. So in terms of “customize” graphics it does not seem like it makes any sense when the system runs the game at the lowest graphics possible it seems.
@History Lol dude stop, why this bothers you so much is embarrassing. It aint anywhere near as bad as you make it lol. I was just playing in handheld mode last night. 60 fps is the norm according to who?
It does not really bother me and rather INTERESTS me how switch players deal with all of this.
You’ve never even played it and there’s literally several of us telling you how the game runs just fine lol
No harm in adding this, not sure why it seems to bother you
Interest? Lol that sounds so weird, why would it interest you how someone else plays? I see alot of Switch trolls online. It’s success seems to truly bother some people, are you one of them?
Sounds like they (history) are an elitist comp player.
Nintendo Died. Stop trying to Resurrect them…
Nah just another Nintendo troll, Wii got this same hate. Both Wii and Switch have something in common, kicking Playstation and Xbox asses all generation really bothers some people.
