UPDATE: Ignore everything below because once I used the Kovak sens tool, I only needed to lower my sense from 3.30 to 3.29 to match it.
I got tired of guessing, so I went back into OW1 and measured the distance I move my mouse for a 180 degree turn. I was as precise as possible and measured 5 times.
Then I went into OW2 and figured out that I had to lower my sens by 6.06% in order to get the same distance for a 180 degree turn… Again, once, I found the right measurement, I confirmed it by measuring it 5 more times.
My OW1 sens is 3.30
My OW2 sens is 3.10
It’s very unofficial, but it’s hopefully helpful… Here’s your formula:
OW1 Sens x .9394 = OW2 Sens
PS: I’m using 1000dpi, but that really isn’t relevant for this equation.
Thanks for that math I’ll try to use it and let you know how it goes, since even lowering it by 0.01% like everyone keeps saying still feels pretty off, something is definitely weird about it…
Swift311 some of us don’t have the time nor the money to spend on programs just to compare our mouse sensitivities on beta and main game… They should have kept them equal.
Contrary to some posts on various threads, I actually hope this stays and is applicable to console.
I have found myself on a number of occasions wishing the sensitivity cap were higher on OW on PS4.
As someone who runs max sensitivity almost universally, this is welcome, although I wish the cap were still higher than that.
Maybe a max of 150% the current OW1 sens, high enough that I could reach my limit and be fine not going beyond.
Swift311 was right… Once I used the Kovak tool, for me it ended up being off by a lot less. I went from 3.30 to 3.29. Crazy, because I tried to be so careful testing manually, but the Kovak tool is on point.
