OW2 has made me not enjoy OW Anymore

Hello, I’ve been a fan and player of overwatch since it came out. Now playing overwatch 2 and seeing the changes the game has just gone down hill.

Allow me to explain.

While trying to climb ranks in competitive because harder and harder due to the skill matching this game now has. The amount of toxicity is horrible. The 5v5 comps are not good at all. Back in OW 1 the 6v6 was better. Allowed for more diverse teams and strategies.

Onto the battle pass and cost of items and events. This is just a freaking slap in the face. I was alright with just the battle pass but the cost of these skins and events is just ridiculous. In OW 1 we had loot boxes that we earned for playing and were able to get skins from commons to legendary skins! Now we have to pay in order to get skins we have to work for? That makes no sense. It’s not fair across all players and all platforms. The quality of some of the skins has gone down as well. OW used to be about the players and hearing what we want and taking it into consideration. With OW 2 it’s just all about money and it’s sad because I want to enjoy the game again!

Today 10/19/24 I played 2 comp matches and sadly lost horribly which is okay. You lose games. So I went to look at the MHA event and the Halloween event and that truly did it for me. The lack of care the skins have and the lack of uniqueness ruined it all for me. I made the decision to uninstall the game for the time being. It sucks looking at a game you used to enjoy becoming a cash grab.

I know you probably won’t read this and I’ll get an AI response. But I truly hope these reaches someone who will listen. I apologize if it seems a little scattered there’s just a lot to talk about but I didn’t sit down and organize everything I wanted to talk about. I truly hope OW2 can fill the shoes OW1 left and maybe some day I’ll return to the game.

Selling the skins is not even the problem, the problem is that they don’t use even 1% of the money raised to improve the game, we are talking about millions of players, it is impossible for them not to have any funds to improve the game and add more game features.

This is exactly it. Overwatch is STILL drip-feeding us content. Their release schedule is too slow and too little for it to feel good. They’re still making excuses not to drop maps. There is so much they could immediately do to improve the game (that doesn’t include balance or farting 6v6) but they just don’t.

To be fair, this season has been a wonderful exception all things considered, but the game’s gonna get trampled by the competition if they don’t lock the freek in.

Well, I remember very well that they said that each season would have 1 map and the next one would have 1 hero, alternating between seasons, map and hero, etc.

And now what we have is maps being postponed, heroes being postponed. It’s almost discouraging. Then, when the hero comes, he comes with the most bizarre kit of all (eg: Venture, good concept, bad implemented, as result = almost nobody is playing with).
