Could there be an ow2 event where you can play the mission played at blizzcon 2019 and unlock new character designs as skins

Probably unlikely, I’m pretty sure that they have designed the maps and the modes in a new engine, so it will probably be hard to transfer it to the old engine.

I think you get the new skins when you buy the ‘story dlc’

As far as I know overwatch 1 will get a engine update with the new maps, heros and stay PVP. the story PVE part is a dlc

Right, but I’m pretty sure he is talking about an event pre-OW2, so the engine wouldn’t be in OW1 yet.

They’ll amost definitely have some sort of event in OW1 to market OW2. But letting us play an OW2 PvE mission is very unlikely. Perhaps a limited time event skin for Tracer or something

We could get a beta that lets us play the missions, that’d be pretty cool

But getting a client update is highly unlikely, not only are the missions on a different engine, but there isn’t any talent menu on current Overwatch, it needs to be a beta, it needs another client

Of course, when ow2 releases every ow1 client will just update to ow2 (most likely) but as far as just, giving for test/event, definitely not
